Crashed Brazilian UFO
Status: highly unlikely
Normally UFOs are shown flying around in the sky, such as in this (very fake looking) footage of a recent UFO seen in China (thanks, Kathy). But Christopher emailed a link to these photos of a UFO recently seen in Brazil that was hitching a ride on the back of a truck. The text explains:
Possible crash involving a disk-shaped object is reported in Brazil. Brazilian UFO Magazine’s consultant witnesses the transportation of a strange disk-shaped object in the Brazilian state of Bahia On Saturday, November 25th... Despite the strangeness of that scene, the object was uncovered and totally exposed. “Even with so many cars coming on the opposite way (going to Salvador) and the other ones behind the truck, very few people seemed to care about that scene”, Baqueiro says.
So presumably, whatever government agents were transporting this crashed UFO couldn't even be bothered to throw a tarp over it. I love it.

That's not a UFO, God lost a hubcap.

Man, that design is straight out of the 50's. Don't tell me we've got beatnik aliens now.

I wondered where that thing went to... confound hijacking Brazilian trucker!!!

The "similar" photo that couldn't be authenticated at the bottom...is a totally different craft. I wish we could see that car's license plate!

This could be anything, from a theme park object to a movie set component to a lid for an industrial tank or something to a roof component.

It it was from a crashed spaceship, I doubt it would be in such nice condition.

I don't think something being driven down the highway qualifies as an Unidentified Flying Object.
They should call it a UOBHOAFT (Unidentified Object Being Hauled on a Flatbed Truck.

That video was kinda cool. I watched it like 13 times. I can see that in a Alien B-movie or some cheap propaganda

If you ask me (and you didn't), the UFO in the China video looks more real and believable than the ones on the trucks (those look like stacked hubcaps -VW- with a vinyl pool donut stacked between. The shadows in the picture don't even match the sun glare on the donut.

Maybe it was a movie prop?

And if you Photoshoped out the trailer, it would look like a real flying one!

It seems to me that the object on the truck is sagging over the side of the trailer, which would indicate lack of a bottom and/or interior bracing. My vote is the top of some industrial tank or possibly a water tower top.

"This could be anything, from a theme park object to a movie set component to a lid for an industrial tank or something to a roof component."

I was wondering this too...if we knew where it was being hauled...we could probably do a search that would let us find filming locations or new attractions under construction.

Now this is the meaning of Hitch-hikers guide.I propose UFOTHILIPOFAHTBPOATATTWIIG unidentified flying object that has inexplicably lost it's powerof flight and has to be placed on a truck and taken to where it is going.Or if Bob is correct it would be UFHCOAT which is Unidentified Fallen HubCap On A Truck

Looks like the head of a large pressure vessel (or industrial tank, as someone else said). I used to have pictures of a truck delivering the head of a nuclear reactor to Arkansas Nuclear One. Looked very similar, only the ANO vessel head was considerably thicker.

Has anybody besides me noticed that this object appears to be in no way fastened to the trailer to keep it from falling off? There's too many faults with this photo to have even tried to assume ANYBODY would accept it as a real photo of ANYTHING!!!

The truck isn't even moving. It's parked on the side of the road, with two men leaning against it.

Christopher, it looks as though there may be clamps holding it on. And there's no telling what sort of fasteners may be holding it from the inside.

Hey, I have it!! It's a hat for the 50 foot tall woman. She got tired of attacking and decided to go to a ball.
Posted by Christopher Cole  on  Sat Dec 09, 2006  at  07:00 PM
Those aren't men leaning against the truck, they are the aliens from the craft, and they trying to figure out how to get their craft back from the repo-man...

Has any given any thought ot the idea that if that were TRULY a ufo, and not the lid of of some industrial tank. Given the amount of time a UFO would need to have to travel to our planet even with "hyper drive or warp technology" that the size of the inhabitants of that ship would probably be about the size of a action figure, possibly even smaller like a lego figure? that reminds me of the part from hitchhikers guide where the attack of another planet was swallowed by a small dog...
Posted by crazygutgut  on  Mon Dec 11, 2006  at  09:29 AM
crazygutgut, can you give a more detailed explanation as to why if it takes a long time to travel between stars then the travellers must shrink to the size of dolls? Not sure I get the connection at all.

Hilarious photos though. Not exactly a secret mission was it?

In simplest terms if you were going to drive around the world NON stop 10000 times, would you do it in vw bug? or a Huge RV. Look at the size of the "ufo" compared to the men on the road. if that was a "UFO" how would they fit? where is the "engine" where is the fuel tank.. For that thing to be a real space ship and have the capactiy for space travel the engine would need to be huge. the time involved in traveling through space would require living quarters. so its just not logical that thing is a spcae ship, unless the beings for the craft are much smaller than we are. if you look at the two men they would barely fit in there, not to mention supplies, engine, fuel etc.. but shrink the occupant down to the size of a huma finger, and maybe it could be a ufo...

Ah, now I see what you mean, crazy ( If I may use your first name?); Wording of the first message made me think it was the time it took to travel all that way made the voyagers shrink:)

Mind you, I only agree partway with you on the idea of needing a huge ship. True, most of the technology we are contemplating for interstellar or even interplanetary travel requires large volumes and mass, however there may yet be principles that need far less mass and energy for such travel - After all, look at our present understanding of gravity; We can only just generate it in small increments and measure it when occuring naturally, similar to the way Humphrey Davy dealt with electricity in the 1700s. Now look what we can do with electricity.

Still, it does look as if this is too small to have come very far. Though, if you read over some of the work done on magnetic plasma drives, such a vehicle would be adequate as a single-stage-to-orbit shuttlecraft.

Anyway, the kicker to me is that there does not seem to be any access points into the object anywhere.

not to mention it looks more like this

DFStuckey sez:
"... Anyway, the kicker to me is that there does not seem to be any access points into the object anywhere."

Well, obviously, the door is on the other side (or through the bottom?).

ok this is totally fake i mean who would belive that the people r acting normal

clue for oval shape ufo first of all we need a craft built-in magnets form and sealed with metallic ...
followed by a light generator rotating from inside to serve as an energy ... y do we used magnets ???
by connecting any kind of magnet form to each other can give us an output movements that we
can be used to manuever the craft we need to pointed the magnets change its nodes to get
the movements output ... y do we used light generator i also have some footage of ufo that it has many more lights can u explain that to me ??? we used it for receiving light coming into the sun and planets to maintain its power generated and also rechargeable it's a simple way of showing that there is a light generated inside not for the purpose of lighting some dark places because it's a spy craft from other planets ... y does ufo craft faster than our aircraft and maintain sometimes its balanced ??? because of its built-in magnet
the speed generated even much more faster than we expected if we transferred electric energy to it's magnets to force
it to move in unexpected light speed that cannot be calculated if the more electric energy apply into it, oval closed lid means of showing the balanced is in there a window from the top
purposed is not to rotate the craft because its's balanced are also right there ...
