I didn't know this was a strategy, but I'll tell you, it won't work. All my male friends are single, so when I go to the club, I usually go with one of my three single female friends. Going with a girl friend to a bar is the opposite of a sure pickup strategy. Generally, other women will assume your friend is your girlfriend. You don't need to pay for the service to test this theory, just take a female friend to the bars sometime.

Some women are just more polite than most guys, I guess. I used to hang out with a female friend at a bar sometimes and the fact that she was with me meant nothing as guys were always trying to pick her up. Some girls were too. Of course, her manner of dress absolutely screamed "Take me home and F me".
I never lost her to a guy, though there were some close calls with some of the girls. I used to have a pile of phone numbers that she tossed into my back seat. Some of the notes were kinda scary.

I think all women are more polite than all guys. I've had guys hit on the women I'm with. I've had them hit on my girlfriend in front of me. None of them dress in the manner of your friend. Men seem to respect that barrier less than women.

Anyone who doubts my theories either never went to a club/bar with their girlfriend or they dont have a girlfriend. YES... it is totally true that guys will totally try to pick up the girl you're with - I'm not contesting that. That's where you risk looking dumb, is if your "friend" starts talking to other guys without including you in the conversation. The trick is that the girl must reject any incoming pick-ups.
