A Real ‘What Is It?’
Stephen Wagner, over at About.com's Paranormal Phenomena Blog, reports that this picture of a very weird looking creature has been circulating via email. So is the creature real, or is it photoshopped? After some research, Stephen discovered that the creature is real. It's a deep-sea creature known as the Longnosed Chimera.

it's kind of cute! if it lives in the bottom of the sea, what's it doing on the tile of some guy's floor?Posted by john in NH on Sat Jul 03, 2004 at 11:19 PM
It is a given that there should be more unknown life forms deeper into the ocean.Posted by The Mexx on Sun Jul 04, 2004 at 10:38 PM
Fascinating. You just know someone is going to seize on this to "prove" that there's a breeding population of dinosaurs in Scotland.Posted by Czar Chasm on Tue Jul 06, 2004 at 03:18 PM
it's obviously a longnosed chimera. no wait! now I see: it's a cross between a pteranodon and a herring. (you have to look close, it's easy to confuse it with a longnosed chimera.)Posted by parazyte on Tue Jul 13, 2004 at 11:00 AM
