The Panama Women’s Cricket Team
Status: Fake
The latest viral hoax photos circulating online claim to show shots of the Panama Women's Cricket Team. It doesn't take a degree in Photoshop to realize these women's buttocks have been digitally altered. Fool Blogger has tracked down what appears to be one of the unaltered originals.

What I don't know is whether this actually is the Panama Women's Cricket Team. A google search for "Panama Women's Cricket Team" simply brings up these photos.

What I don't understand is why there would be a need to photoshop these nice bums at all... The original is more attractive than the fakes...

As someone who writes about cricket, I can confirm that there is currently no Panama women's national side, just a men's side. For those interested, the US women's national side make its international debut on Sunday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Might be some sort of publicity thing, or perhaps a 'cheerleader' group..
But yeah, pretty blatant 'shop. Seriously, there's probably lost tribes that have never made contact with human beings lost in there somewhere...

jeeze not just their butts but their waists have been narrowed considerably too which makes their rears seem that much larger.

Both of the girls in the original photo have a 2 on their shirts...so whatever they're doing is either the most confusing sport ever...or it's some kind of photo op...maybe a model shoot?

I second LaMa's statement. It must be a fetish thing.

Thanks for that info Nixon! As well as the when the US International Women play.
I looked again and the 'artist' also made the thighs bigger to bulbous according to the original, more like a man's as well as sucking in the waists to Barbie size.
If you're going to 'enhance' for the sake of beauty, you'd be more subtle.
And Maegan, I agree about the '2' on each shirt...maybe that's the name of the team?

The name of a team wouldn't be on the back of the shirt...or isn't in any sport I know of. The player's numbers are on the back of the team so coaches & other officials can keep track of where everyone is...and where they need to be.

Surely they are part of a POLO team, not cricket?
Posted by dylump in UK on Fri May 15, 2009 at 01:33 PM
Hahaha! A cricket team where every player is a gorgeous long haired brunette, all exactly the same height, all wearing skin tight uniforms with the number 2 front and back, and wearing calf-height high heeled leather boots!!! I want to know where to watch this "sport"!
There's some sort of watermark across the photoshopped "2 women walking". What I make out is "S8L8n8v8n8" repeated, in script. I don't know if there's a connection, but SLNVN (from Mexico) has a channel on YouTube.

Cricket must have a rather different reputation in the USA compared with the UK.

They're "Publicity Girls at the Copa del Rey Polo Finals", according to that website.

It's pretty obvious that it was altered they should not be in cricket with that butt!

Mr Henderson, I don't think cricket has any reputation in the USA.

I've seen people playing cricket not too far from me.
I must admit though I was astonished
I didn't think Americans would play such a sport.

The US actually has a long history of cricket - George Washington played the game - with the first mentions of cricket in the US being earlier than in some parts of England! They also played the first ever international match against Canada, in any sport not just in cricket, in 1844.

I'm not a fan of sports, but I don't think athletes play in what look like high-heeled boots. I might be wrong, though.

Cricket is regularly played here (NW area of greater Toronto), there's a league and public playing fields. It's mainly but not exclusively the children of immigrant's from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the Caribbean.
As a child in Saskatchewan, we regularly played a variation of cricket called "stooks", using baseball bats and balls; the only significant difference was that the scoring was much simpler and the number of players was variable. Oh yes, and the batsman could hit the ball as many times as he wanted, which meant that he could bunt the ball then whack it while it was laying on the ground. This led to very interesting confrontations, with the batsman hovering over the ball, bat raised like a golf club, daring the defending player(s) to try to recover it and risk getting smote with the bat.

Another difference was that only the player holding the ball or the ball itself could knock down the wicket while the offensive team was running. But if you were hit with the ball between wickets, you were out. I have memories of carrying a bat while being chased over hill and dale, sometimes even through the school, trying to avoid an opposing player intent on beaning me with the baseball.
Hm,,,, we turned cricket into a blood sport,,,, but it was lively.

Turn cricket into a bloodsport?
The ball is slightly smaller and slightly heavier then a baseball and has been known to kill people.
Talking from experience (though luckily I was only knocked out).
