Realistic Truck Art
Status: Hoax photos
These photos of trucks painted with optical-illusion art have begun doing the rounds. They're pretty obviously photoshopped since it's the exact same truck in every picture. But they're cool nonetheless. The pictures actually were all entries for a 2005 Rhino Rolling Advertising Award, being given by a German advertising agency. The challenge must have been to dream up the coolest advertisement to paint on a truck. All the entries can be seen here. It looks like the one with the pepsi crates hanging from the roof won.|

They are all pretty cool, but I think I like the pepsi crate one best. Or maybe the one with two cabs. Or... did I mention they were all pretty cool?

Lama, What does the last truck have written on the side?

As far as I can make out, it says "On (or in) the incorrect way?"

Sure they're cool, but most would only look good from one angle. Especially the ceiling-hanging boxes.

Let me amend my previous comment. SOME would only look good from one angle, including blue pepsi boxes. I had seen a handful of them before, and they all suffered from this, but it appears there are many more that don't.

Here you can see how some of them look in real life. http://www.rhino-award.com/rhinonight6.php The effect is definitely diminished when you're not looking from the original angle, but I won't be a complete humbug about it. They're still really cool.

The writing on the side of the last truck could be translated "On the wrong road?" or (probably more aptly here) "Going the wrong way?"
