Con Artist Poses as Heath Ledger's Dad
Soon after Heath Ledger died, a man claiming to be his father contacted Tom Cruise and John Travolta, seeking emotional support and free plane tickets. Why he contacted Cruise and Travolta, I don't know. Was Heath Ledger a scientologist?

For the Ledger story...maybe they were easiest to con. Saying you need emotional support will have them getting out their free personality tests & flying him right into their closest airports. (Although, for Travolta...there was recently a big accident on the Jumbolair runway...I wonder if he'd have to come by commercial airlines.)

I dunno, Maegan. . .one of the key points of Scientology is that nothing is free: all of their services have to be paid for. Although maybe that only applies to official Scientology things, and they can give out free support on their own time.
