Belly Dancer Has Half Her Bottom Removed
German belly dancer Julia 'Cleopatra' Meyer went to a private clinic to get liposuction on her thighs. Unfortunately, the surgeon removed fat from her right buttock instead. She was awarded the equivalent of £12,000 - twice what she had asked for in compensation.
(Thanks, Sophie.)

Imposter at Stanford
For eight months, Azia Kim lived on campus, studied with friends, and ate in the cafeteria. Trouble is, she wasn't actually a student there.

Aw, people who can't take the old 'fake microphone' trick deserve to be squirted.

I had to laugh when I read about the fake Stanford student. For much of the 1970's I was kind of a fake student at Fordham.

Although not enrolled at the University, I was an editor of one of the campus newspapers, I did props for plays, I worked on WFUV, Fordham's 50,000 watt radio station and I had keys for two offices on opposite sides of the campus. I even got paid to deliver the paper to the campus twice a month. Oh, I'm actually in the yearbook for two consecutive years, also.

I was ethical about it, in my own odd way. If anyone asked me if I was a student there, I would tell them the truth. I counted on most people simply assuming that I was a student, just not in any of their classes and that's pretty much how it worked.

I had an "out" if I got in trouble as the student handbook said, "Fordham activities are for students, faculty and members of the Fordham community." I thought that I qualified as a "member of the Fordham community" in two ways; I lived not far from the campus AND I was involved in all those activities. Circular reasoning? Yeah, maybe, but the rule IS pretty vague.

I never tried to live in a dorm, though. THAT would have been pushing it.

I wonder if the water-squirting reporter is the same one that squired Katie Holmes a while back.

I think it was Tom Cruise, Maegan, not Katie Holmes.

Of course, given the crazies out there, who's to say the next microphone won't be filled with something else? Acid anyone? Or any of a number of other chemical compounds that can be more dangerous than just water.
