Pet Pillows
I love my cat, but the idea of making a pillow out of her seems a bit ghoulish to me. But those who fancy the idea can have pet pillows prepared by Jeanette's Taxidermy. However, you have to make sure you follow the instructions carefully: "Please freeze your pet immediately upon passing to insure there will be no hair slippage. Double bag to insure no freezerburn." This is similar to VIP Fibers, the company that will make a sweater out of your pet's fur, which I posted about last year. The difference is that VIP Fibers doesn't require your pet to be dead first.

Stephen, you Boner-Ignorant Twit... "Budgie" is a pet name for parakeets...

I'm sorry, that was out of line... Mistakes were made. Ahem- I meant: "budgie" is a pet name for canaries.

Wrong again, Hairy. It's short for Budgerigar:

Though whether budgerigars are the same as parakeets or canaries, I have no idea.

Same as parakeets, different than canaries.

Gross.
Hairy and scary, I say. (And that's directed @ the pillows not HH, by the way.) Ew, a nightmare would be commissioning a Norma pillow (made from my cat) that lets out an otherworldly hiss in the middle of the night because it prefered cremation.
I bet some obscure Museum of Hoaxer out there will emulate this idea, turning it into a bizzaro spin on recycled art (decorative in this case) and countering Nathalia Edenmont's freshly killed animal
"art."

Come to think of it, my cat does annoy me a lot.
Though not as much as my turtle.
I wish there was some place that I could just dispose of things, like a hitman or something...
Jeepers, I can't think what to do with either of them, since my microwave just died.
And if I get her stuffed, it'll stop her scratchin me.

I used to work at a place where the receptionist had her mutt, "Bobo," stuffed after Bobo got hit by a car. She used to tell us this, but most of us didn't believe her. So one day she brought Bobo to work with her. Bobo just sat there on the desk all day while his ex-mistress answered the phone. She told me she had to bribe the taxidermists to get them to stuff Bobo, because "You can't stuff a dog-- that's like stuffing a person."
Then she turned Bobo belly-up, tail end toward me, and said, "Look, Gary, they left him intact!" Which was true, or else they had restored him to his former splendor.
This same receptionist used to wear boxing medals about half the time. She claimed that she had not won them herself, but that they really belonged to her father and brother.
What really freaked me out, though, was the framed picture she had of all her nieces and nephews playing with Bobo (AFTER he was stuffed, I mean). She said she always brought Bobo to all their family reunions.

Poor "Bobo" (I was going to say 'Poor Gary' but I don't think you need my sympathy) Imagine having to put up with a someone like that! Mind you, there is a little cemetry out in the middle of nowhere, where all the farmers go and bury their dogs. Actually, I did see something on TV about this a while back - can't remember the show, or the business name - all I can remember is that they'd stuff your pet, and return it to you as good as new (except that it's dead). Macabre.

:/ I own a spangled budgerigar aka parakeet... and he just died.. ;_; so I have decided to get him taxidermied... mainly because I am a breeder and quality spangles are difficult to find in olive colour..
and budgies and canaries are completely different.. -_-;;
canaries are finch-like birds and budgies are parrots.
