It's official. American Express's Travel and Leisure Magazine has chosen the Museum of Hoaxes as one of America's Kitschiest Roadside Attractions. We're honored to be recognized in this way!

Well, it's not like you go out and TRY to convince them, right?

This makes my heart so happy
#5 is pretty cool
(Da Yoopers Tourist Trap: http://www.dayoopers.com/ )
I have been there a couple times (Have a great picture of me visiting Da two holer. Be aware that a Yooper is someone BORN in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (not someone who relocated there) and someone living under da (Mackinac) bridge is a troll. (Come visit me in my great state some time... I would gladly welcome company

I've only been to twenty on that list (twenty-one if you count the Museum of Hoaxes).
If we didn't already know from the way the Museum of Hoaxes was included, it's obvious this was written by someone who has never hit the road to visit places like these. There are a lot of attractions I would place higher on the list. Heck, there's at least one Stonehenge replica I would put higher than theirs.

I wonder how many snarky emails you'll get Alex when people Google MoH and want to complain that they couldn't find it!

I'm guessing the answer is "a lot", Nettie.
That's some lazy journalism on the magazine's part!
Well done, Alex.

I have a suspicion that the magazine knew what they were doing. After all, they stuck the MOH at the very end of their list, as if ending on a slightly tongue-in-cheek note. And how could they not know?

Fred - I'm not sure I understand the Unclaimed Baggage Center is very real and is prominent on the maps and tourist info for Scottsboro, AL.
