Message in a Cabbage Patch
When 9-year-old Diamond Robinson found a Cabbage Patch Doll under the Christmas tree, she was in for a rude surprise. Encoded in the serial number on the doll's 'adoption papers' was the message: _UCKME. (I think the missing first letter is an F, but I'm not sure. It could be an S.) The company that made the doll says it's an innocent mistake... a computer randomly generated the serial number. But I'm not so sure. Sounds like something a mischievous employee might have done. Kind of like a Cross-Dressing Ken type prank. Instead of complaining about the doll, the family should sell it on eBay. They're sitting on a potential goldmine.

I never got to adopt my Cabbage Patch Kid. The papers got lost on their return to me! I was about 6. DEVASTATED! Totally devastated.

It's an F. The local news ran the story and mentioned that the blotted out letter was part of an F-word.

Yeah, just wait - and the next person to try to re-sell it will have discovered a "666" tatoo mysteriously risen in the plastic under it's hairline! Should be good for *another* 20 grand.

The missing letter could be "T" for "Tuck me in."
... or "B" for "Buck me" (the doll wants to ride a rocking horse).
... or "D" for "Duck me" (when your brother throws the doll across the room).
... or "L" for "Lucky me" (the computer dropped the "y").
... or "P" for "Puck me" (suggesting the main thing these dolls are good for, which is swatting them around in a game of hockey or shuffleboard).
Maybe the doll's also haunted. That should raise its value to at least $100,000.

When I was a teenager a friend of mine wrote the words "eat me" inside the styrofoam Big Mac container. Customer turned him in, and he was promptly terminated. Employees tend to get bored at times I suppose...

I was a bored employee. I just messed with my co-workers. Once, I hid a computer monitor under a countertop & replaced it with a cardboard box. I drew a 'monitor' & power button on it. I even took enough time to re-create our opening menu screen. I gave the computer monitor a smiley-face & wrote "Shaun's KumpyutR" on it. He was kind of ticked. But he was an ass.

A friend of mine bought a Cabbage Patch doll, and when she looked closely at the adoption papers, she saw that they contained a hidden message. The papers, after a little decoding, said, "Congratulations, you have just been overcharged for an ugly, badly-made doll. Sucker!"
