Madonna’s Arms

What in the world has happened to Madonna? The Daily Mail published these photos of her, taken "as she left her private members club in London's Soho to attend a business meeting," clutching a large designer bag. The sinewy appearance of her arms is attributed to "use of 'miracle' machine - The Power Plate," which apparently is some kind of vibrating platform offering "the same benefits of an hour-long sweaty gym workout in just 15 minutes with the machine burning the calories for you." Sure, it lets you get a full workout in just 15 minutes, but unfortunately it also turns you into a walking skeleton.

At first I thought the photo of Madonna's arms may have been photoshopped, like the Too Skinny images, but we'll have to take the word of the Daily Mail's photographer that the pictures are real. (via J-Walk)

RUle of the Press #1

Never, EVER take what the Daily Mail says at face value. Trust me, they're probably blaming her muscular and sinewy arms on her constantly having to fight off the insane, rabid immigrant who are constantly brekaing into her home and trying to rob and rape her.

Eww...It's gross. Fake or not.

The electrical exercise machine has been around for over one hundred years, more or less. Ever since small electric motors were developed someone has claimed that their machine would do all the work for you and reduce your fat. These machines have never worked. If those are her real arms, she didn't get them from a machine.

She is like what.. closing in on 50 years old? My arms look like that but not so.. sunk in, especially when i lift something heavy. It's just my muscles straining. No big deal.. comes with age I suppose.

Yup, she's getting on in years but still tries to look young. Unfortunately even the rich and famous can't avoid age for ever 😊

Oh sorry, did I appear gleeful there? Can't for the life of me figure out why...

Actually, when I was watching the Live Earth concert, I noticed her arms seems excessively sinewy and stringy - not as bad as the picture, but still not a good look, espcially as she was wearing a tea dress and trying to look like an English Rose at the time (note to Madonna - English Rose types do NOT look like they could sling a couple of paparazzi over their shoulder one-handed).

But the Daily Mail - if they told me the sky was blue I'd still have to go outside, take a good look and get scientific proof from an independent observer before I believed them.

frankly I don't think that arm is hers. if you take a look at the pants that she's whearing and the one by the arm, you will notice, it looks like Madonna is wearing black dresspants and the skinny are is wearing dark blue bluejeans

who cares what her arms look like. As long as she is healthy thats all that matters. People nit pick over everything this day and time. No wonder girls are so skinny! Quit nitpicking!!!

I've thought for awhile now that she's taking steroids, it distorts your jaw and also gives muscle definition that no amount of exercise can do.

Madonna has always had a weird looking body. But being a retired body builder, I would say, her arms look awful, she is not symmetrical, and I don't know what the heck she is eating, but I have never seen anything like that in my life, even on a female body builder.....awful

Madonna`s body looks awesome
she didn`t get her body from a power plate ah ah ah ah ah do people really believe that?
she got her physique with weight training and yoga helps her to stay flexible, she eats 6 to 8 times a day lots of lean proteins and complex carbs, high intensity training with weights can give you Madonna`s physique and lots of dedication and knowledge and consistency.
Madonna looks like a pro fitness competitor
She`s fantastic and she put teenagers to shame.btw Chris steroids help you 20%,they`re not magic tablets, not just bodybuilders take steroids but runners, cyclists etc take them as well
have u ever heard of natural bodybuilding???it is possible to build muscle without steroids.Madonna`s body is very healthy ,she`s ripped, that`s why she mantains a low level of bodyfat and she must eats at least 8 times a day and drink gallons of water to mantain her muscles.i`m a natural figure bodybuilder and i know how hard it is to be in shape

She does do Vibration Training, it does help build muscle quite quickly and it's much harder than weights but faster. But she does not use a Power Plate. It is plastic and built very cheaply in China. She uses a steel machine of much higher quality.

I seriously doubt the claims of this exercise machine rendering you a skeleton by cutting down the workout time from an hour to just 15 mins. I suspect there is something else at play here to cause such dramatic muscle loss in her arms - the other commentors are right though it certainly looks awful!

It's really hard to say if this is real or not.
Posted by Chad O  on  Wed Dec 09, 2009  at  10:41 PM
With the source being the Daily Mail, I would take anything they say with a huge pinch of salt. But there is no denying that she does now look ridiculously thin and certainly doesn't look healthy.

Whether or not this can be attributed to the Power Plate machine as claimed, I don't know, but whatever she is doing can't be good for her.
