Lesbian Phone Call
Michel sent an email asking whether the Lesbian Phone Call site is for real or not. A description, from the site, advertises that:

For $10 one of our professional lesbians will call anywhere in the US or Canada. A member of our diverse lesbian staff will call you within three business days. Simply supply a name, telephone number and tell us what sort of lesbian you'd like. We do the rest! Order a lesbian call for mom!
It's hard to know if this was ever anything more than a joke. (They're currently not taking orders... if they ever did... so you can't call to find out.) I suspect it's a joke created by uncoolcentral.com, to whom the domain name is registered.

Why pay $10 to talk to a lesbian when you could just pick up the phone and call your sister, aunt, or cousin ... (and if people are charging $10 to talk to you, your problems are not the sort that can be solved by an internet site)...

Well, all the lesbians that I've met in person do not seem to be the type of people who would want to spend their time (even paid time) on the phone talking to hetero men.

I guess the lesbians I know are amateurs, not professionals, but some of them need money and wouldn't mind calling anybody on the phone for, say $10 a minute.
I guess the idea of this "joke" is supposed to be that lesbians are so exotic that it's a thrill (or shocking, or titillating) to get a phone call from one. My point is that since most people (whether they know it or not) have sisters, aunts, mothers, co-workers, neighbors, fellow church members, and so on who are lesbians, it's not really such a big deal.

bizzare... sound like its aimed at greasy teenage boys who would mistake it for a sex line... the convosations could possibly involve answering all those questions people want to know but are too scared to ask but it would be awkward:
