Most people think the musician Jim Morrison, lead singer for the Doors, died in Paris on July 3, 1971. But Gerald Pitts says that he "discovered Jim Morrison Living on a Ranch in the Pacific Northwest in the summer of 1998." According to him, Morrison is living a quiet life as an American cowboy "away from the Hollywood scene." Even though Morrison evidently engineered an elaborate death hoax to escape publicity, he agreed to appear on film for Pitts. You can buy a copy of this film for only $24.95 (shipping is extra). Pitts' site includes a video comparing the features of Jim Morrison the fifty-something cowboy to Jim Morrison the twenty-something singer. However, no matter how many times I watch the video, I just don't see any similarity.

I applaud that. So, some things to help you in your quest... and you should look. Because there is a lot to Jim that can enrich your life...
Jim is very smart and can not be second guessed. He is very good at method acting and posts online on such subjects. He can be sarcastic or joke around, he can write in a wide variety of forms. He probably would contact anyone serious about looking for him, if they are not just looking to make a fast buck. If they really want to understand something "more".
He would be careful and make sure his fake identities have plausible backgrounds. Sometimes.
There really is no way to know where Jim might be or who he might be, especially online. You have to suspect anyone. And try and understand the "real Jim"... the guy behind the mask.

Surprised that you didn't mention the guy we are talking about, who shares your surname- William Loyer. I find your evasive writing style most appealing.
Like most, sometimes I think the Holy Grail to this whole endeavor is to prove to Jim's true fan that he did fake his death. How cool would it be to see Manzarek shed some crocodile tears on national tv while fessing up that he knew Bill Loyer was Jim Morrison all along but couldn't tell anyone because he so truly longed for the show to go on.
For the most part though, I think the jewels of this project are scattered. For some it may come as a teaching not to give up on someone, especially someone you love.
For others it is a priceless awakening as to how ruthless the remaining Doors, Alan Graham, Cliff Morrison's former agent, and talk show celebrities like Coast to Coast and Inside Edition could really be. Never trust anyone over 30- 30 million in net assets.
For those who love literature, they might have found a hidden admiration that Loyer had for Oscar Wilde and see Jim Morrison as his emboding Dorian Gray.
Or Bill Loyer's subtle admiration for Walt Whitman. Bruce Springsteen had like one picture of himself in a long sleeve white shirt and Jim Cullen wrote a book uniting Bruce with Whitman. I contacted my Facebook friend and asked how he didn't mention Jim's influence on Bruce or Whitman's influence on Jim and Cullen said he didn't notice any.

On uhm, William Loyer sharing my surname, hey, I had it first! Lol. I did mention him, however. It looks and sounds like Jim. Whether he is really coming out or what Jim is doing with this or where he is going with it... no idea. Jim is a complex guy.
I think Jim finds value in many things. Dorian Gray is an awesome story. Jim definitely ages very well. I think that is due to his deeply positive attitude and spirituality.
I hate that Jim has the appearance of a mask, but someone like that is so complex. And Jim spoke a lot about masks and roles. We play roles, but should not get stuck in them. We are more then any role we play.
I like to think Jim has a lot of true fans. His message means a lot to a lot of people, I think.
I like to think on his poetry... leaving improved sense in one's "wake". Improved sense.
One thing about Jim is he appears many ways but he is always, always working for people's betterment. Very hard to see. He is so clever. But, people resist change if they see it coming, I suppose.
BTW, seeing that one guy say Bill Loyer helped him out when he was down on his luck... that should tell you it is Jim.

I think he is genuine and empathic all the time.

There is such a thing as a true metaphor, one could even say a true lie. We use words all the time and someone's words may appear similar, but maybe their intention is completely different. They have good motives instead of bad for the other person. And they are comfortable not being afraid to appear as the villain, because they know morality ultimately is so much deeper then what people meagerly perceive.
We may wear various hats and uniforms... we may play various roles. But we are always, always who we really are -- if we have gotten beyond those roles, those hats, those uniforms... gotten beyond them and not let them kill us. Kill us with static beliefs, take away the "being now". (As opposed to not really living, living in the past and future and not for today.)
We can be brick masons, as William was I think it was said, or carpenters, or mechanics, or doctors, or lawyers... but that is not who we are. Who we are shines through that. Or it should. If we are to be truly alive.
And just because he has horses or gave some background story does not mean it is the whole story.

I think Jim may be alive, but don't have evidence for it. Hasn't anyone even bothered to make a website around this? Only real reason I have seen his friends have said he "couldn't be dead" is because "he would never leave Pam to that misery" and her misery was real.
But faking two deaths is a lot harder then one. And she was clearly strong. Anyway, her death, too was very mysterious. And why did the Courson family get the trust fund? Seems fishy.
Also that guy is the spitting image of Jim.

I have not read all the basic biographical works on JM, but I have skipped over to a controversial one called THE BANK OF AMERICA OF LOUISIANA. Why is this little paperback book so expensive and difficult to find? It says it was written BY Jim Morrison. It talks about a leap of faith he had while visiting the Vatican. It's a little creepy. And who knows, it might be a little JM.
