Is Jim Morrison Alive?

image Most people think the musician Jim Morrison, lead singer for the Doors, died in Paris on July 3, 1971. But Gerald Pitts says that he "discovered Jim Morrison Living on a Ranch in the Pacific Northwest in the summer of 1998." According to him, Morrison is living a quiet life as an American cowboy "away from the Hollywood scene." Even though Morrison evidently engineered an elaborate death hoax to escape publicity, he agreed to appear on film for Pitts. You can buy a copy of this film for only $24.95 (shipping is extra). Pitts' site includes a video comparing the features of Jim Morrison the fifty-something cowboy to Jim Morrison the twenty-something singer. However, no matter how many times I watch the video, I just don't see any similarity.

Hi all,

Interesting posts during the last few days..I'm quite excited. If this new thread is true then it would be a mind blowing event of awesome proportions. Considering what has been said; I imagine that the Worlds media are vying to have the first "scoop"..the first photos and the first story of Jims "resurrection".

If all that has been posted is indeed true,I don't believe my cynical expressions would be taken amiss. This is because I remain a cynic..but one who is gasping to be convinced. I want Jim Morrison to be alive, I really do, but I genuinely believe that he died all those years ago. I'm sorry JLiz..sorry Dennis..sorry Highmountainrougue..I've spent over half of my life worshiping him dead..how much more I would love it if he was still alive!

I know that I'm flippant (Bart Simpson etc) But I was right and Dennis confirmed ...thanks mate!..the onus of proof is on you guys..so please prove it!..we're all waiting!

I looked at highmountainrouges site...I'm sorry man, they dont look like Jim to me..firstly he looks too young..and secondly its the eyes...Oh shut up Andrew!!..convince me guys! and I'll believe you forever!

Goodnight all

Andrew

Just looked at Highmountainrogues site again and it seems a bit strange that Jims photo has a much higher hairline than the guy purporting to be him nearly forty years later.

Most tricologists would recognise "male pattern baldness" as was obviously a feature of Jims "last days"..In the same way ones eyebrows don't suddenly become arched to the point of "surprise" without extensive surgury. Jims eyes and especially the brows were low down on his face. Look at the "SoundStage" songs on YouTube if you're in doubt,

Guys I'm not trying to prove you wrong...I'm hoping that you will prove ME wrong! and this isn't just another hoax along side of Andre's..It certianly seems like it right now!

i have been lurking on this topic for a few weeks. read almost front to back this thread, don't have much to contribute, i apologize. the eyebrows look too arched to me, though i see a lot of similarities too. but... he messes up his own lyrics is this youtube.com video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f21KBaPKVpU
not saying that isn't possible as he is only human. but his story about how he wrote the song sounds so...i dunno...scripted? that's just my imput. voice is kinda similar?

i really mean it just sound's like cheesy dialogue. the supposed jim is like "so many songs...i did elekt...elektra records right." like he's reading it off a piece of paper. then he continues..."oh this is moonlight drive, this is what i uh, i um...wrote on the beach one time, this is what uh i, told ray manzarek i wanted to start a band...it's the first song i came out with." it just sounds scripted or something to me man. but i would like to believe it as well, so let's keep this research coming.
peace again,

O.k. fellas' hold on. Jagged send to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Geralds interview was done on a crappy little tape recorder and Jimbo had had a few buds. I had asked him not to use it. He has done some things we have asked him not to do and that is why he is on his own. He has what he has and that is all. An auctioneer cowboy who was a partner and developed Rodeo's West.
I am no techie. Watch for my site to improve. We are all busy and I know this is important. Gerald has rambled on and filled in the blanks. He was driven off the ranch for not listening.

in no way was i going by pitts video, i am just speculating, my friend. i am intrigued by your site and the updates you say are coming soon. though, the first picture :

http://www.highmountainrogue.com/background.html

to me in no way resembles jim morrison at all even if aged 40-45 years. the second yes i can see a resemblence. anyway, we'll see in time if you can change my mind. one question...why did bill loyer aka "jim morrison" seem to vanish after the pitts thing? are you still in touch jlizard or highmountain rouge?
Posted by the goods  on  Sat Aug 08, 2009  at  11:33 AM
Dennis we are not in the area anymore. Know this, I spent one year in isolation talking everyday with big Jim. Not one to be fooled. In 5 years he had been to town 6 or 8 times. So you can imagine the line....G Pitts crossed it..within 2 years his possibilities of expanding with us stopped. No body hates him, he just put the blinders on and was stubborn to do everything his way. He was not the discoverer. Jim stepped forward. Gerald would be the agent of what he has if we were to work with him...which is not likely in the near future. Owner, agent, discoverer, producer. To bad he has no real friends who can trust him. I have known him since teen years. Still a friend. We didn't have 2 dimes to rub together when I took him up to Jim's. Phenomenal story and one of the key player's has never been mentioned. So bear with me and I will try and take care of this thread. Thank you.

not sure if you were referring to me but i am not dennis. so you are no longer in contact with jim? or just gerald is no longer in contact?
Posted by the goods  on  Sat Aug 08, 2009  at  12:17 PM
Yo dude I don't want to start a series of questions and answers as responses would be nice in real time. The background photo is a washed out scan of a scan. None of these photos' are point to point. Dennis I see the scratch and if not mistaken that was caused by riding a four-wheeler thruogh the brush. A couple of scans were folded somehow. Give me some time to enhance and add photo's. I have nothing to lose and everything to gain by keeping the realists happy. I appreciate everyone of you. The more you compare when having the matierial the more it comes together. Like he said Andrew "Who would want to be Jim Morrison?" The lag in time is partly my fault.

Goods in Indiana, Jlizard and I are both in contact with this man whenever he answers the phone. Thank God we are both welcome at his house, not because he is a diety (although he could be) but because we are his friends.
Find dental records and I'll kiss your....foot. You have to understand the huge private and even legal conspiracy that followed July of 71. Again to remind you, legal experts and theorists have agreed that in traceable history no one has had the deck stacked in their favor like this case, to have survived. Pam claimed he was alive at least 3 times in the news. I heard it. For anybodies information I am Highmountainrogue.com. Alone.

Here is some information I am taking the liberty to give. Jimbo has talked to Cliff. The outcome of that is private.
Posted by Highmountainrogue  on  Sat Aug 08, 2009  at  12:52 PM
I am a full-time musician and songwriter and there are songs of mine that I performed just a few years ago that I would have big trouble remembering the words to now. We're talking 35+ years, and we can't assume that if Cowboy Jim is James Douglas Morrison that he's been listening to and singing Doors songs since 1971. Probably once in a while he breaks them out or happens to hear them on the radio or whatever, but not necessarily to the point where he'd still be on top of them. If that moment was really captured off the cuff, then that's a perfectly honest mistake to have made, and to me, there is a hint of "oh hey yeah, I remember that song!" honesty about that moment reflected in the person's reaction and response.
Posted by Dennis Crane  on  Sat Aug 08, 2009  at  07:27 PM
Not to mention that "Moonlight Drive" was the very first song written for the Doors, was on their first album, was not performed live often (well, best I can tell from some of the set lists I've seen), and did not and still does not get a lot of radio airplay compared to many other Doors songs. So it's just not a song you should expect Jim to remember perfectly many years later...
Posted by Dennis Crane  on  Sat Aug 08, 2009  at  10:01 PM
not to correct you dennis but moonlight drive didn't appear on record until strange days the second doors album, not the first. it was later re-released onto the first album titled the doors on the 40th anniversary edition.

Hi David,

Thanks for the message, I'll send you my phone number right now. Would tomorrow morning work for you?? I should be home all morning, I look forward to hearing from you.
Posted by Jagged  on  Sat Aug 08, 2009  at  10:45 PM
Dennis,
I must admit that a few seconds of the "moonlight Drive" segment were eerily similar to Jims rendition of the original..enough to give me a tingle up my spine.

This is just a general comment on the current thread..not an opinion ok? Its just that towards the end of his time with the Doors, his voice; his singing voice was totally different to the begining..too many cigs..too much shouting and I suspect too many polyps for his original tones to recover. Cowboy Jim sounds way to young to me. Dennis as a musician I wonder if you agree?

As for forgetting a few lines here and there...well sometimes when I've had "a few" I forget how to speak! never mind sing...and we've all heard "no no no" haven't we? assuming that was Jim.

Highmountainrougue, cant wait to hear and see the bombshell that you are about to drop on us all!..Jim Morrison is alive! how awesome is that! I cant wait..I may sound flippant , but really I cant wait. Tell Jim (if he's really there) not to worry about fans...we'd leave him alone if he wanted it. Just proof..once and for all! then this site can close down.

Night night (its late here)

>>not to correct you dennis but moonlight drive didn't appear on record until strange days the second doors album, not the first. it was later re-released onto the first album titled the doors on the 40th anniversary edition.

Ah, of course... I kept thinking that because it was the first Doors song, in essence, that it was on the first album. It's been a while since I've listened to either of those albums.

Sounded pretty wasted to me and yes that pick was off the cuff. I have heard Jim sing some stuff and as has been said singing the ol doors songs the last 30 yrs. is not exactly what he was doing. Gotta get to work fellas'. Please bear with me and see what I have. We'll go from there.

Oh well,

I'm obviously not in the "loop" right now! what with telephone calls and emails etc and so on. Seems like the prep for a big scam to me. My friend who REALLY knew Jim Morrison and was with Pam in Paris hasn't heard of these guys ...folks beware..a fraud is in the offing

Andrew
Posted by Andrew Carpenter  on  Wed Aug 12, 2009  at  05:43 PM
Lol, have no worries. I m not a scammer, I m just doing extra work to try and develop an accurate depiction of events. I have found some amazing info, at this point I dont have enough info to say anything because I want to be 100% sure, plus alot of people have put their trust in me and I respect that and will not move on without their absolute blessing.

I have talked with people way beyond the scope of what everyone else in any forum has even attempted, and because of that, not only do I have the stories, but I also have actual historical facts and I have photos that are brand new and taken this year with an actual high quality digital camera.
Posted by Jagged  on  Thu Aug 13, 2009  at  01:40 AM
How could I know some person from Paris 35 years ago. What was he doing with Pam anyway. I've heard that one before. Does your friend wanna fly and meet with Jim so he can identify him. For what purpose? What's his credability? Probably not gonna happen.
Andrew I'm liking to think we're gonna blow your socks off.
I was working my **s off in 1971. Living this long and not one to be fooled, I am telling you who he is and will maintain that till the day I die. It will make an interesting book.
Posted by Highmountianrogue  on  Thu Aug 13, 2009  at  02:32 AM
most of these comments made are either people who are mentil or people who have hope. JIM IS DEAD.but he didnt die in the tub he died in a paris nightclub of a herion overdose.i am a big doors fan and i would love 4 nothing more than jim to be alive but as a previous comment already said what going to happen the doors on tour another album. i think not. WAKE UP!!!!
Posted by craig bell  on  Thu Aug 13, 2009  at  06:01 AM
Thank you for both of your comments!! I know that their are alot of fanatical fans that have been relentlessly pursuing the topic, but thats not what I am doing. I cant say what approach I am taking because that would mean my avenue of research would be saturated with overzealous fans with no interest in research and logic.

I am not trying to prove or disprove anything, rather I am writing a book of facts, yes their are some stories from those involved, which I greatly appreciate, but the stories and accounts are simply in place to act as a parallel time line and justifier of the facts.

If you have any justifiable facts please feel free to contact me and we can arrange an interview.

Have a great morning

I thoroughly respect all the time you have put into helping me, and genuinly repect the time you put into defending your good friend 😉 I have some new info that I would be happy to talk to you about.
Posted by Jagged  on  Thu Aug 13, 2009  at  10:48 AM
There has been a lot of debate of whether Jim died in a Paris nightclub or in his apartment bathtub. A great number of the published biographies are mired in blatant sensationalism, but most bring up some very thought-provoking points. My particular favorite is "Break On Through" by James Riordan and Jerry Prochnicky. Imagine what we would have to talk about if Bill Siddons had demanded to have Jim's sealed coffin opened back on that July 1971 day. By not doing so, he opened a virtual Pandora's Box of mystery and intrigue. Overall, the man is dead, and there is no way I can actually believe that he was reincarnated as a Louisiana banker or low-key cowboy. I'm sure that Jim would have loved to have seen this particular site, as he undoubtedly would have enjoyed all the controversy. Dead over 38 years, and he's still causing trouble. You gotta love it.

Jagged,

My earlier comment of a potential scam in the offing was driven by the fact that this site seemed to be developing into a chat area for a select few; a meeting place, if you will, for those who exchanged data, using this site as a kind of "pal" exchange, whereas in fact, it was designed to be a venue for those who can see a forthcoming hoax.

I cast no aspersions on you personally nor highmountain rougue; nor do I doubt that you seek the truth. My problem is that you have already come to a conclusion which you quantify and excuse by the fact that you're writing a book. I'm sorry but a mere book (amongst many others) simply wont cut it for me..no matter how well written or awesome as I'm sure it will be!..I wish you all success by the way, and assure you that I will probably buy it.

As for the person that I refer to, who was a friend of Jims when he was at at UCLA and before in Florida..who subsequently got back in touch with Jim and Pam in Paris shortly before Jims "death", shouldn't be a source of concern for highmountainrougue as this guy is as queer as a ten bob note. His surname is Rodrigues, I wont give you his Christian name at this point without permission, but you guys should remember the name if you were there. It cant be that hard to remember such a singular surname

Guys I welcome your forthcoming "revallations" I really do..but please share with us all and dont use this site for cryptic messages between the "Jim Illuminati"..stick to the thread and illuminate us all, not just your select buddies!

Cheers

Andrew

Highmountainrogue.com says "as we who were there" meaning the hippies, the underground of rebellion in general, guys' like me, the common threads of several. The old folks compassion mixed with the youth, put a few at the forefront. These people didn't make a move that we would not know about within hrs.
I've been a musician since 12.
A fresh story is usually always the best story. There are no less than three stories at the offset of that July and August. The truth had already beat the other out of the gate. The same as we have today. Exactly. We were all sad and some dissapointed.
Following the trace of information we were relieved when Pam said "Jim is alive." It was awesome! Espedially after the third time in the new's, and more to different people. She hinted it within months.
I thought Ray Manzerick was wery honorable in that video posted Re: "Yea he's in Oregon haven't you heard?" Close enough for Ray to ask "Doe's this guy have proof?" when visited with by Brett Hudson. A long time correspondant working for Fox News at the time. Also monologueing the Current Affair edition of Jim Morrison discovered.
Keeping it simple as possible and armed with information it is quite believable. My experience has shown that more believe it than not, in general. This site excluded.

Dear highmountainrogue,

I'm sorry but I couldn't quite understand your last entry..I wondered if it was in fact a bit of prose poetry as each line seemed to be a kind of stanza..in any event it didnt make any sense at all..to me in any case. you sound like a pakistani on speed I'm afraid

Cant wait for all your new pics of Jim with conclusive proof as you've been assuring us will happen soon..I really CANT WAIT! I think you'd better back off and let this silly thread subside for awhile and start it up again if you must when newbies appear from time to time and we can start the whole thing over and over again.

i have a feeling we are in for another let-down
Posted by the goods  on  Sat Aug 15, 2009  at  04:55 PM
"the goods"

I feel the same way which is why I keep pushing and prodding..I dont do it to keep getting my written word on this site and astound folk with my prose.. I do it to worm the truth out of people (who either have forgotten what they wrote previously or tie themselves into knots with heresay and rumour) I make a living doing this as I am a London Criminal Lawyer who loves leading folk down a false path in order to reveal the truth.

And the truth is what this site is all about, is it not? I'd love Jim to be alive, but I know that he's not. Which means I suppose that I'm saying that cowboy Jim is a fraud..a hoax..a prank; and those associated with this lie are perpetuating this nonsense in order to make money. I'd like to say at this point, that if I'm wrong then please sue me! I will happily come to the USA to defend my opinion and point of view.

However consider this..I would absolutely demand that Jim came to Court and submitted himself to a blood and DNA test. If he refused to do so I would have a subpoena issued against him followed by a warrant for arrest on sight. The same would apply to his surviving family.

Jagged and Highmountainrogue, if you want to proceed down that path, I will supply my email addy to you and swear that if you wish to take action against me, I will come to the town of your choice; pay for my own living expenses and my own defence..how fair is that?

Of course If the action works for me and against you then I'd obviously take you all to the cleaners and probably bankrupt the lot of you. There thats my challenge!.Will you take me on?..We the fans of Jim need to know the truth..and you guys perpetuating a bizzare new story of a mortuary awakening is bollocks and you know it.

My friend Rodrigues is a real character with photos of Pam and Jim, who if necessary will come to Court with me to disprove these extraordinary hoaxers. Come on guys ..I've thrown down the gauntlet...Sue me..I'm ready for it!

I throw the gauntlet of parley at your feet, will you pick it up to conclude this jim alive charade?

Cheers

Lol, I m sorry Andrew, but you need to relax a little, I have not even revealed what perspective I am taking on my investigation, plus my investigation is still ongoing, I still have alot of people to talk to. All I m going to say is that at this point and in regards to your previous posts, I will no longer respond to any of your posts out of respect not only for myself and David, but also out of respect for those people who have politely talked to me and provided me with facts and entrusted me with their stories from both sides. Whether Bill is Jim or not, he is still a good person. I m not going to even make assumptions about you, I m not that kind of person. Instead I m going to leave you with this instead.

I am not into chromincally posting on forums, I simply joined to see what people wanted to know, which essentially I would use as some of the direction for my investigations.

Also I did not want to embark on this investigation if Bill was not interested in talking to me(whether he is Jim or not), I m not into trickery or slander. There is such a thing as just being a good human, being honest, sincere, and presenting my findings just as they have been presented to me.

Have a great night and Thank you again for your previous posts.

Hi Jagged,

Thanks for your adice about relaxation and particularly enjoy your "lols" which in my game tends to cover up a multitude of sins. Yes I will lighten up and allow you guys to do your stuff...if you're asking me not to comment on the rubbish that that has appeared on this site recently, then no I wont. I have as much right as you, as I assume that you dont own it?

If what I write isn't pertinent or if you find it assinine then feel free to ignore me..in the meantime I speak for myself and many many others who joined this thread looking for answers, and not spin doctors pushing yet another book.

I dont wish to insult you, but as a writer, dont you think the lols and put downs to be a bit beneath you? I suggest that you relax a bit, and dont embark on a silly "whodunnit" that will only result in ridicule.

To the right of this is an ad for federatedmedia.net and they're selling funny t-shirts and Holy Toast, a stamper you can stamp on your toast and make it look like the Blessed Virgin. Anyway I was the distributer for Gerald Pitts' video and then he met this song writer from FL and she replaced me and probably never sold a video but her claim to fame was that she really had like a Jesus appear on her toast and sold it on Ebay. She was half Catholic half Jewish.
Hmm. If you can get a copy of Bank of America of Louisiana by Jim Morrison, published in 1974 for under $100, get it. Special thanks to a friend from Greece who informed me about this.
Jagged, you don't know what kind of jewel you have if you're interviewing David Logan. Even I have had the opportunity to speak with him only a few times and always enjoyable. Has anyone looked up who Brad Hutchinson is? Current Affair was a pretty darn popular tv show, at least around Chicago. Jagged, after you've convinced me that you've gotten some true investigative gems from High Mountain, than you might want to talk to me. I'm not sure what pace we should try to break out this story kinda leaning towards highmountain being the pace car.
Wow, Andrew is a criminal lawyer and Jim Morrison is a Bill Loyer.

Dear Goods,

Stay strong as these guys will resort to nasty tactics as anyone on the "ropes" will do. Their assertions will collapse in flames in due course, as I always knew that they would.

The stories just dont add up, and I dont need to be a lawyer (actually a Barrister) to do this. Just go back to page one of this saga and follow the thread. There you'll see "Lizard King" etc..I admit that the Andre thing was an awesome hoax..but here's a thing...It sounds very much like the other stories that I've heard about Jim Morrisons death..especially from his particular friend whom I've already mentioned..and who JLizzard, highmountainrogue and Jagged seem not to want to comment on.

I threw a pretty severe gauntlet down as you have seen...and I stand by what I have written. I believe that there is probably the most insideous hoax going on right now. I wouldn't care about it normally apart from the fact that it (the hoax) will probably have a negative impact on many people, not emotionally equiped to deal with it.

I believe that JLizard, highmountainrogue and jagged, if not one and the same; share the same agenda.

Goods, there are no fingerprints of Jim alive, as I believe that our man has beeen in his grave for all these oh so many years. Our hero is dead so lets worship as such..like we do Kings and Saints.

If these fraudsters can come up with CONLUSIVE proof, then I guess we'll all shut up..in the meantime..conclusive remains elusive

Cheers goods..thanks for being brave...JLiz, JLizzard, highmountainrogue and jagged..waiting for your response..and I dont want any of your old crap..I want full and impartial facts..not just your usual bad photos and mere heresay...facts ..facts...facts..thats all that we can believe

I've been passionate about The Doors for decades and have been thoroughly researching everything about them since the 70's and here is what I know in 2009. Some info is old, but I have some new...

Jim's not here.

The Gerald Pitts shenannigans would probably crack him up, however. It's bs.

Jim had three children total. Two boys (Chris Bangs included). One girl.

Only Chris has been confirmed with DNA to public knowledge because he pressed the issue to an extent.

Cliff is not a son, just a wishful thinker.

The two other children are brother and sister. For whatever reason, they appear to not be seeking acknowledgement/notoriety or financial gain from the Morrison estate. I have been unable to determine if they already have some sort of quiet deal worked out with the Morrison estate?? They both really resemble Jim, especially the girl. The son is terminally ill.

Fascinating isn't it? Take it or leave it.
