Hello Kitty Taser
Status: Fake
The Hello Kitty Taser raised the ire of Justin Yu at CNET who wrote:The existence of this Hello Kitty taser gun makes me want to open it up and point it at my head. You have to question the intentions of these designers...is the gun supposed to make little girls less fearful about attacking their in-store competition? Maybe it's meant to fool criminals into thinking their victims are unarmed, only to be met with 50,000 volts of adorable electricity.
Only subsequently did he realize that it was simply "a Photoshopped picture of Taser's "Metallic Pink" version of the C2 gun."
Hello Kitty guns seem to be a popular meme.

A REAL Hello Kitty Taser would be the CUTEST non-lethal weapon EVER!
Posted by Cranky Media Guy on Wed Jul 08, 2009 at 01:13 AM
Applying Hello Kitty to 'non-cute' things tends to be popular for a variety of reasons. A form of ironic cuteness, I suppose.
Friend of mine made a Hello Kitty Space Marine for Warhammer 40K, complete with Keroppi kill marks on its shoulderpad.. 'In the grim dark future of Hello Kitty, there is only war'.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if somebody made their own personalised Hello Kitty taser. I've seen it done for automatic rifles, after all.

A hoax? Darn, it would have been a perfect anniversary present for my wife.

Bugger "hello kitty", what sort of twisted mind puts out a "metallic pink" taser?

I'd buy it.
