Ghost Tree
Status: Pareidolia
People have been crowding around a seven-metre betel nut tree in Kuala Lumpur. The tree has developed what looks like a human face on one of its fronds, the reports say. The owner, Miah Majid, told reporters that the tree had previously sported the shape of an eye."Superstitious village elders have advised onlookers not to make any comments when they pass the tree, reports said. Other enterprising villagers are selling photographs of the face for 2 ringgit (US$0.55)."
Good to see a slightly lower-tech way of making money off it, rather then using eBay...

I think it might be Emperor Palpatine, he gets a bad rap.
I do appreciate the one link that felt the need to add a giant arrow in the picture so I would know where to look to find the face. So much more suggestive in that one.

I also see breasts, saggy ones, off to each side. But then again that may just be a psychosomatic response... because i really really like breasts. Remember those green women from Star Trek? Kirk was always such a lucky bastard...

I don't think it looks very Sleestaky. The eyes sag too much, a Sleestak's are rounder. And their heads are round with a spike on top. The mouth isn't wide enough and the nose slits are missing.
Sorry, I still go with a headless Virgin Mary, in a family way.

Either way, I think it's an interesting comment on the nature of pareidolia that some people see a face and others see breasts...

"Evil" Gumby? No such thing... a mutally exclusive term, to be sure, like "Military Intelligence"... Evil Pokey, maybe... Evil Blockheads, no doubt, but Evil Gumby? No way, see he was once a little green ball of clay, but you should see the things he does today- he can walk into any book with his Pony Pal Pokey too, if you've got a heart than Gumby's a part of you...
