Eurorest is a scam
A visitor asks if Eurorest is a hoax? Well, if not a hoax, then it's definitely a scam. The premise of Eurorest is that if you agree to send a message promoting their business to seven of your friends (i.e. if you agree to turn yourself into a spammer acting on their behalf), then they'll send you a 'cheque' that you can use to get 14 free days of stay at participating European hotels. But here's where it gets fishy. Sending off the emails doesn't automatically get you a 'cheque.' It only enrolls you in a lottery with the possibility that you'll receive one of these cheques. Who wants to bet that the cheque would never arrive? Plus, when you investigate these cheques more closely, you discover that the stay at the hotels isn't even free. It's only discounted at some of the hotels, while others charge an 'obligatory catering rate.'

Definetly looks like a scam. However, the terms looks to have been changed lately. Now they claim to award a "cheque" to all participants, there is not a lottery anymore.

Look, i don't agree with that, at least my ''cheque'' exists because i received it last year.so, i also informed myself about wonder this was or not true and guys, maybe you are right when you say that these cheques are not sent to everyone. i just made what they said, just sent messages, and yes i received 1 cheque...yes, the thing is that you go to an hotel and you do not pay anything for the nighjts but the hotel has established that we have to eat there...ok, you could think like this: so, i won a cheque that gives me the opportunity to go to some hotels and know places i don't know, right? of course, imagine , we are winning something without doing anything!!!so, do you think that it is too much to ask the client to eat in the hotel??? i

These cheques are worthless. If you want to stay at these hotels (with meals) you can get it cheaper booking on the net, than paying only for the "meals". The scam is, that the "meal" amounts change immediately after you pay registration fee for the cheque, almost to their double. Before payment you may think, its a good business for you, after payment you realize the truth about these cheques. Even if you get the cheque, you can throw it away, as it is more expensive to use them, than paying normal fee to the hotel you choose.

thank you for this post. I was wondering about Eurorest also. Normaly I'm critical of scams but here i was in doubt because I did an enquete about solo traveling a while ago and thought Eurorest was promoting that or something. The meals make it expensive indeed. Regardless if you receive a cheque or not...not interested anymore..
