Dog Thong Flatulence Filter
I realize that flatulence filters are real products (though I have had a lot of people tell me they thought they were a hoax). But I suspect that the Dog Thong Flatulence Filter has to be a joke. I mean, how well could it possibly work? It just doesn't seem large enough to fully contain and filter all the gas a dog can produce. And imagine having to strap it back on Fido every time he comes in from the yard.

This reminds me of a "doggy diaper" that I saw somewhere on the web about 3 years ago. That also appeared to be a real product. I suspect this product will catch on no better

Some of the other products look fake too. Like a fart mask for a retirement home. It says they're manufactured in Hawaii and Iowa. Most companies usually say "made in USA."

reminds me of the doggy sanitary pads we used on our female dog,they were quite real 
and really disgusting too...

and really disgusting too...*mumbles* WHAT ABOUT CRUELTY TO ANIMALS?! THE DOG IN THE PICTURE... okay, that wasn't mumbling, but i must say - this is the most preposterous trivial thing i have EVER heard about! *sniff*

It doesn't 'hold all of the gas,' as you mention, which is why it is plausible. It's, in essence, a fart filter. Acoustic foam muffles the sound of the fart, and carbon filters remove the parts of the fart that are so stinky. Pretty clever,really.
