Applebees e-mail hoax
A lot of people have been getting this e-mail in their inboxes:
My name is Bill Palmer, founder of Applebees. In an attempt to get our name out to more people in the rural communities where we are not currently located, we are offering a $50 gift certificate to anyone who forwards this email to 9 of their friends. Just send this email to them and you will receive an email back with a confirmation number to claim your gift certificate. Sincerely Bill Palmer Founder of Applebees Visit us at: www.applebees.com. Hey guys, DONT DELETE THIS EMAIL It really works, I tried it and got my Gift certificate confirmation number in 3 minutes.

I came here about the e-mail that was going around but as I read it was as I through not a real email I didn't think not even Applebee's could do that.

On Sunday July 13th, in Ozark, Alabama I ordered what I thought to be a nice salad for a price for over ten dollars. Upon receiving my order I asked the lady for some bread, she brought a very small bread stick. After consuming the small piece of bread, I asked for some crackers, her reply was "they won't let me have any. Then I asked for a carry out box to bring the rest of the salad home so that I could have some club crackers. Monday July 14th I mentioned my experience with a couple of my friends, their reply was that the service at Applebee's was horrible. I also have had several bad experiences at Applebee's. This past Sat night we stopped in the one located in Slidell, LA. We were seated but no one ever came to offer any drinks, etc. Others that came in after us were already eating. We mentioned it to one of the other server's but she never returned either. We finally got up and left. Then I tried called the manager but no one ever came to the phone after waiting 5 minutes on the phone. Bad management. They certainly weren't busy that night and I can see why.
