Woman “prank calls” her own grandmother
Calling a store and asking "have you got Prince Albert in a can" is a prank call. Calling your grandmother 45 times and saying "You're going to die" is not a prank call. It's a sign of serious psychological issues. [

A 21-year-old woman faces felony charges after allegedly prank-calling her 69-year-old grandmother 45 times in one day, threatening to kill her. The woman faces five felony counts including harassment. A criminal complaint said she told police she was "bored" and "wanted to have some fun." ...
The criminal complaint said the suspect told investigators she wanted to scare her grandmother but didn't want her dead. She said she knew it was wrong but not illegal.

"She said she knew it was wrong but not illegal."
So, it's okay to do wrong and cruel things on a whim so long as there isn't actually a law against it? She sounds like such a lovely girl. . .

Of course, it actually is illegal.
Harassment, abuse of phone lines (the FCC gets involved), extortion, making terroristic threats, are just a few of the criminal charges that could be filed.

I once was repeatedly phoned, by a voice leaving the message:" the Viper comes on Tuesday". Needless to say, when Tuesday came along, I was worried. The knock came at the door, and upon opening, I found a little German man with a bucket and squeegee, who said: "It's Tuesday, and I'm here to vipe the vindows." Whew, that was close one.
