Fake Cyber Romance Leads to Death
22-year-old Brian Barrett was shot to death by his 47-year-old co-worker, Thomas Montgomery, who was jealous of his internet relationship with the young woman that Montgomery had been having a cyber fling with. What neither of them knew was that the woman involved was not 18, as she said, but a 40-something mother who was using her daughter’s identity.
CNN Debunks Obama Report
CNN have refuted Insight magazine’s claims that Democratic Sen. Barack Obama was raised in a radical Muslim school.
Protesters for Hire
For around €150 per person, a group of young Germans are offering themselves as demonstrators for whatever protest you happen to be running.
(Thanks, Firefly and Charybdis.)

Protestors for hire. What next - women being hired to carry a baby for a childless couple?

There is the great sketch by a British comedian about professional mourners for hire. That could be next Chris.

Cyber Romance: How do you technically have a fling with someone you've never even met?
Obama: We've still got 2 years till the presidential election but the dirty politics has already started. I happen to like Obama.
Protesters: I honestly thought this said "Protestants" when I first read it, and I was wondering why anyone would want to hire a protestant.

That's actually a time-honored practice dating back at least to the Roman Empire, and to this day is still considered a proper funereal practice in some cultures.
You know, it would take someone really unscrupulous and heinous to plant that Madrassa story. I wonder who could have done it? Hmmmmm....perhaps a group of political a-holes who have so thoroughly screwed up their chances for retaining power that they feel they have nothing to lose? And their bought-and-paid for non-news propaganda network?
They named that channel after the wrong small mammal. It should have been Weasel News.

What if one is some sort of communist, protesting the practice of hiring people for temporary work?

Barghest, the whole sketch was about the Roman Empire. Its just funny that such a thing exists. And Chris hiring students to take yr exams is a time-honoured practice in Turkey. Lazy buggers that we are.

And as far as the Sen Obama story goes, it doesnt matter what school he attended or what the truth is. The seeds of doubt have already been planted in peoples minds exactly as the powers that be wanted.

Posted by Tru in Other Words on Fri Jan 26, 2007 at 12:24 PM
Tru, I protest you getting paid for protesting. Can I get paid for saying that?
Posted by Christopher Cole in Tucson, AZ on Fri Jan 26, 2007 at 01:03 PM
I wanna hire a protester!! Now what should my cause be...
Posted by thunder in England on Tue Feb 06, 2007 at 08:23 AM
All these years I have protested for free and now I see I can actually have a profession as a protester, It just not fair.

zinetv, it's you folks who do things for free that ruin it for the paid workers. After all, if it weren't for sluts, prostitues would make more.
(Pun intended.)
