Senior Pranks 2006

Status: Mischief
Most high schools are now out for the summer, so I thought it would be an appropriate time to pause and remember some of the senior pranks that made headlines this year. As usual, they're a mix of the clever, stupid, rude, and cruel.

Car on roof - image Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School: School officials found a Honda Accord "painted neon pink and covered with green question marks" on the roof of the high school. "Nassau police and school officials said yesterday that dozens of students used crudely made ramps to drag the Honda Accord... onto the roof."

Power out - Neuqua Valley High School: Two students were arrested for attempting what they called the "senior prank of all senior pranks." Their plan was to disable a generator and take "other steps to ensure the power would go out and classes would be canceled for younger students still in school." They were caught in the act by a custodian and arrested at their homes.

School for sale - Cape Fear Academy: "During the night before their last day of school Friday, about 20 members of the senior class strung a $215, 3-foot-by-9-foot vinyl sign with large, red letters spelling out "Entire School For Sale" and the school's telephone number between two posts in front of the school yard on South College Road. Another 20 or so smaller "For Sale" signs were peppered around the grounds."

Squealing pig - Severna Park High School: Students "released a squealing 31-pound piglet named Hamilton into the halls on the sinister date of 6/6/06 ... Purloined from a county park for an end-of-year stunt, the 3-month-old pig -- nickname: Hammy -- appeared Tuesday morning in the math wing of the Annapolis area school between the first and second class periods. Administrators cornered the frightened animal near an exit, where he submitted to capture as students recorded the moment on their cellphone cameras. 'There was this crowd of people who were, like, 'Omigod, there's a pig,' ' said Sarah Wade, a junior."

Marijuana muffins - Lake Highlands High School: A friend of a student delivered marijuana-spiked muffins to the teachers lounge. "He brought bran muffins to suburban Lake Highlands High School on May 16, saying they were part of an Eagle Scout project. When school employees ate the muffins, they began complaining of nausea, lightheadedness and headaches, and were briefly hospitalized. "They were just thinking it would be fun to get these teachers all silly and giggly," said Rita Greenfield, an 86-year-old receptionist at the school who spent two days in the hospital after eating the muffins.

Cruelty to animals - Ponderosa High School: "The local news broadcasters used words like 'horrified,' 'abusive behavior' and 'unbelievable act of cruelty' to describe the so-called senior prank at an area high school that involved someone dropping 45 baby chicks from a second-floor balcony, resulting in the deaths of seven of the chicks.... Four years ago in the county, a student at Highlands Ranch High School threw a rabbit across the gymnasium at a pep rally, breaking its legs and paralyzing it. The rabbit was later destroyed." (Good grief! PETA needs to open a chapter in that county.)

Doors glued shut - Independence High School (San Jose): "Right in the middle of finals week, an entire high school campus was virtually shut down Tuesday morning, after somebody glued classroom doors shut... The pranksters used super glue, as well as toothpicks in the locks. The numbers "06" were also painted on school buildings... As exams were delayed and students and teachers milled about this morning, maintenance crews used blow-torches to melt the glue that was squirted onto classroom locks."

Personalized underwear - East Aurora High (suburban Chicago): Several seniors were banned from attending graduation "as punishment for participating in an end-of-the-year prank last week that involved spray painting school property, stealing a statue of the Tomcat mascot and hanging underwear adorned with printout photos of administrators' faces in front of the building.... The damages have cost the district $1,700,"

Baby oil on floor - Omaha Burke High School: Students spread baby oil on the school's floors, resulting in injury for one teacher. "The principal of Omaha Burke High School underwent knee surgery Tuesday for an injury she suffered when she slipped on baby oil spread by vandals on the school's floors... Officers had caught five 18-year-olds inside the school, where 20 locker doors had a glue-type substance put in their locks and where the floors and stairs were coated with baby oil.

Flat tires - Jefferson High School (New Jersey): "a high school prankster deflated the front tires of 24 school buses parked at a Weldon Road compound Tuesday, but district officials weren't laughing as they were forced to cancel classes for more than 3,600 students... In addition to the tire damage, the vandals left behind another clue: The numbers "06" spray-painted on one of the buses."

Alcohol allowed - Daniel Hand High School: "Parents of high school seniors received a letter from Daniel Hand High School, with official letter head, concerning the upcoming prom. Included,a policy about drinking that it was allowed!... Principal Barbara Britton acted immediately to get the word out that this letter was not authentic posting a message on the school's website saying: "Let me assure you that underage drinking and the serving of alcoholic beverages is not permissible at the senior prom or any sponsored school event."

AT Spotswood high School in Virginia some seniors hot wired a schoolbus and backed it into the school. The only problem was it was to big to fit through the doors! It tore down part of the roof. Then they superglued both the inside and outside locks, all of which had to be replaced.

In my freshman year the seniors poured a whole bunch of bird seed on the roof. From that year on we get a whole flock of seagulls nesting on our roof making a mess of the cars sidewalks and other buildings this year its my year and hopefully it will be better than that

an idea i have for our senior prank is to have all the seniors camp out in the courtyard of the school...each person should bring a pack of condoms to open and throw around our tents sleeping bags and the ground then the next morning we all just sit around in our pajamas as people come into school

My school is like really hard to play a prank on. There are security cameras everywhere and they are super quick to punish people. Our last Senior Prank was a couple of guys stole our VP's hand fan. That's it. Lame I know. So now it's my turn for a Senior Prank and boy do I need help from the proffesionals. Let me know if you have any ideas that are great. (and won't manage to get me arrested or expelled...)

OMG! i remember the one stunt from Lake Highlands (i live down the street from that school). I dont go there, but i do go to Skyline for the Photography cluster. I thought it was so stupid, i mean my friends and i wanted to like go to the school and teach them how to smoke the weed themselves, but now i get it and it was actually a pretty funny prank!

My friends and I talked with some teachers who agreed to play along with the prank beforehand. So on the first day of school, we dress in suits, walk in to a freshman classroom with a clipboard, and have the teacher sign it. Then we pick out the smallest male freshman who looks like he can take a joke, pick him up, and put him in a burlap sack, and leave the classroom calmly, then the teacher goes on lecturing. We do this to several class rooms, and put all the kids in an empty classroom, or a teacher who has prep that period and treat them with desserts so no charges are filed, then tell the kids to tell all their friends about the horrible things that happened to them.

just a friendly way to make the first day of high school a little more traumatic

Last year at my school (State College Area High School) the seniors broke into the school at night and stole all of the bathroom dividers. the school was then forced to put up plywood inbetween every stall. A few of the students were eventually caught and to pay for the so called damages the senior class made and sold t-shirts which said bringing people together in 07 and we prefer plywood.

A really good prank was played by our 07' class (I am now a Junior). Somehow the seniors got hold of thousands (and I mean THOUSANDS) of condoms. They lubed them up to the max and tacked them to the ceiling all over the school, upstairs, downstairs, classrooms, bathrooms, library, and offices. The cafeteria ceiling had it as well, with the condoms in the shape of 07 for everyone to see. We were all forced to help try and clean up, but we couldnt help but hysterically laugh.

not a senior prank, but something that my friend Ben Harrison did

so my best friend thought it would be funny to walk down to the schools boiler rooms and such, well, as he was down there he saw a small line of lockers, the custodians lockers, so he went inside the unlocked lockers and found the master keys to the school...after a day or two of the keys floating around...and him and some buddies having a pizza/PS2 party in the spanish room, he, his brother, and gf were called in, and some names were dropped so they got kicked out of the musical and 5 days OSS...it was funny but almost got the musical cancelled which wouldve sucked majorly, being the infamous Copacabana...but anyways after "review of the cameras" they were "caught" going into the spanish room with a black box...only thing wrong with that is that the ps2 was in a blue duffle bag when they entered...and as the kids went to apologize to our spanish teacher, he was never told of the incident and he said next time he would leave the door unlocked for them...like i said it wasnt a prank, they proved they didnt make copies of the keys, so no federal offence...its not a smart thing to do

THe year was 2002 senior class prank

Cumberland valley has a dome right out side the school that holds the gym you can see it from anywhere along the pike. The senior class decided to climb up the dome and paint a middle finger on it in bright red paint. Best one yet

lol a couple years ago the senior class dug a HUGE hole in the back feild of our school and shoved the principles car into it. It woudl have gone great if they hadnt hit a water pipe thing while digging. Oh and they woudlnt have been caught if one of the students that helped with the hole hadnt left her cell.

Maybe some of you idiots should spend a little less time coming up with (mostly) really hateful pranks and instead try studying a little more? Not
only do alot of you come across as shrill, hateful little sociopaths-- but your spelling and writing skills are at sub-retard level.
Never mind the pranks, numbskulls. Try to learn a little.

A few years ago the senior class got several kegs full of root beer. They then all began to party in the school parking lot, pretty soon the place was surrounded by cops who were about to start arresting people and handing out tickets, Im pretty sure every cop car in the town was there. Best senior prank ever.

I have two ideas which I believe outdo anything I've seen on this site. First, me and a friend had planned to draw a penis on the football field using a different grass than was already planted. The only way to solve the problem wouuld be to replow the field. Second, I have my pilot license and I hope to either land a plane in the student parking lot, or drop cans of paint in our school colors accompanied by bags of crap and toilet paper.

Well im a Senior and well
every year there is a drug awareness week
and in the front of the school there are Usally fences and in those fences there are cups that say to stay drug free
well you should sneek out at night and take those signs down and put up ones that say get high
lol
or
this might cost a bitand also more fun for the schools down south who never see or get any snow
but rent out snow machines and snow in all the school entrences this way it would be a snow day at the school
but there will be no snow anywere ealse

I do not recommend having a food fight...two years ago the senior class of Lake Dallas did it and ten people were banned from walking across the stage to graduate.

Ok, so I know I sound old, but can you not possibly think of a prank that does not invlove the potential for soemone to get seriously hurt, or destroying property?! You think you are so smart, so try to come up with a hialrious prank that doesn;t deface or ruin someone's property or hurt someone. THAT would be the greatest senior prank of all time. Kids today are so hateful and mean spirited!

Our senior prank we just toilet pappered the school, cut down a tree (they tried to take away prom for that) and put the lunch benches in the trees. For homecoming assembly we got in trouble because we took the dead frogs from biology class and threw them on the homecoming court.

our class of 2007 attempted to break into the school and swap the all the teacher's computer hard drives around.

This would have been fantastic if we didn't have sectioned security, but if a class could pull that off before end of the year grading, just think about obnoxious sorting that mess out would be.

i also had a friend who installed porn on the library screen savers. talk about priceless.. (he didn't end up walking at graduation)

The best senior prank idea ever:
A whole bunch of my friends duct taped the courtyard doors open and the back doors to our library open in our school. At night we used ladders to get into the courtyard and we went into the building and into the library. We pulled out all the books and layered the hallways with them!!! Our librarian was pissed!!! She had to rearrange every single book. Our hallway had three layers of books.

I have some ideas for senior pranks. Me and my friends once put a large amount small thread all around a classroom so that no one could notice that when they walked, there was string, the faces of the students was priceless. I also have this idea of buying a bunch of christmas tree lights and puting it all over the school, in the classroom and in the hallways,to restrict people. Does that sound creative enough?

My entire senior class worked one week in the summer on our senior prank. We borrowed some large farming equipment and dug up the entire football feild and filled it with cement that we got from my best friend's dad. Him and all of his work friends were totally in on it. They thought it was hillarious. Anyway, the reason we did it during the summer was because it needed to dry and we didn't want to get caught. Since it was really thick and a large amount, it took about a week to dry. So we worried that we were going to get caught for a week but we didn't and it dried. Then we spray painted it our rival school's colors. About 10 days later school started. The look on the faces of the entire student body and the faculty cracks me up to this day!!

WOW! Those kids who did that animal cruelty thing are soooooo stupid, they just kill themselves, that's really mean of them, it's not funny, and making people get hurt like the muffins is also stupid, before that guy could've died, you're supposed to do a prank w/o getting ppl hurt. Like last yr at my school this kid ran around the gym during the senior farewell w/spandex on

IN 2001 about ten of the graduating seniors hiked the Giant Y on the face of the mountain that is there for the collge BYU. and right next to it We made a giant P for provo Hight school. it was like 3 in the morning. but it was awesome. we had to cut through the trees on the way back down cause we could see cops on the trail below coming up on four wheelers to catch us!!! haha they didn't!

:red: I didn't actually pull a senior prank since i got out soon enough not to ... But my lil' brother and all his friend's graduate this year so they decided it would be the thing to do.... They pushed a massive pile of snow infront of the main entrance like 7 feet tall and then they pored water on it so that the next morning it was a big pile of ICE>3
They got suspended for 3 day's and fined like 100$ each since the school had to rent a back hoe to breake all the ice up

All you can say is SHITDAMN

What I was planning on doin is getting 3 pigs and spray paint one of them, 1, another 2, and another 4. They will think that there is a number 3 and search all over for it.

another oneis buying giants bags of glitter and putting it everywhere because glitter is so hard to get out that it will just stay there forever!

Ok I love this prank my high school two years ago (I was in 4 grde)did a senior drive by and this is a annual thing so we all go out and they threw water ballons at us. But this lame thing was just a cover up and 25 kids went in through the front door but no one noticed. They then went in to all the class room's and took all the 3rd,4th, and 5th graders books that were in desks and lockers(at that school we didn't have locks on them)went into the woods behind the school and put the books in bukets and put the bukets in the trees it took us for ever to find them and the seniors had to pay for new books and had summer detention they still graduatied tho(they had to pay SOME new books because it rained and some of the books got wet the others were oddly dry).

Trabuco Hills High School, 98

My senior year, I was in the theater Tech groupies, we took the high density fog machine used for dances and special effects, and placed it in the air intake for the entire school, and 20 min before lunch, we turned it on and returned to class. Sure enough a few min. later when it was warmed up, and we were sittin in our seats in class, smoke started pouring into the air vents of every classroom, untill the entire school was fogged out.
I got caught, cus I was the only one with a key, but the Saturday School I was assigned as punishment, the school principal never filed the paperwork, so I left when they didnt have my name.

At my highschool last year someone got a whole bunch of mice then let them all go in one of the girls bathrooms! Can you imagine going into the bathroom then seeing mice all over the floor? That would be gross!

Another prank at my school which is really disgusting is some seniors took poop and wiped it on our school railings going into the basement so that when people would touch the railings they would touch poop. I know it is really disgusting!

we just took thousands of cups full of cooking oil and put them side by side in the hallway right up to the doors so when the teachers got there in the morning they opened the dorr and all the cups went falling over....then we took 60 portable radios and out them in the roof it took 2 days to clean up the oil and like a week to find all the blaring radios
