Video iPod
Status: Hoax
In the past two weeks there have been a flurry of rumors, accompanied by pictures, about new products from Apple. We've seen this version of a new video iPod:
image

It turned out to be a hoax created by "Bud62". A picture of an Apple iPhone has also been floating around:

This iPhone is a fantasy product designed by Isamu Sanada (who's just a guy who likes to design fictitious Apple products). And finally, we have another video iPod:

Yet another hoax. Whoever created it has placed a video online showing the entire process they went through to photoshop the image. It's a pretty interesting (and amusing) video. You get to watch a hoaxer at work.

You know.. my favorite hoax technological product of all time had to be..

The Color Gameboy...

Nntendo wowed a lot of folks, announcing that they were going to release a color gameboy, much pomp and circumstance...

It was released.. only to be revealed as the standard black and white gameboy, only with a colored *case*...

Granted, it was a bit slimmer, but a lot of folks were pissed off. Think that may be why the *actual* Game Boy Color didn't take off too well when it came out.

A video showing the making of the "making of" video (of the third item) was shown on G4 network's Attack of the Show. They are claiming responsibility of that hoax.

Um, what? Bobcat, I owned a Gameboy Color. (I still have it, in fact) The games are in color, and the system sold well. I don't know what kind of "Color Gameboy" you were playing, but it soundes like you were ripped off.

Sorry to double post, but if you want to see some pictures of the Gameboy Color, you can check them out here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gameboy_Color They have some game screenshots at the bottom.

Eh, Sakano, I think Bobcat means that before nentendo released the actual gameboy colour they released a black and white one that they marketed as colour because the case was colourful. Later they released a gameboy with colour games and a colour screen.

Dracul, I don't think that ever happened. If it did, I don't remember it. I got one of the first gameboy colors, and it was in color. The only gameboy before that was Gameboy Pocket.

If you can find any information about a gameboy color that was released without a color screen, I'll believe it. I did a search for it on Google, and I didn't find anything like that.

OK, this link was taken from Apple's website. Maybe THIS screenshot doesn't exist, but the Video iPod certainly seems to:
