Bush’s UN Bathroom Break
If these pictures weren't posted on Yahoo! News, I would find it very hard to believe them to be real. But there they are, credited to Reuters photographer Rick Wilking, and accompanied by this caption:

U.S. President George W. Bush writes a note to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during a Security Council meeting at the 2005 World Summit and 60th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York September 14, 2005.

I suppose even Presidents need to go to the bathroom.

I'm not really a supporter of any political party Chuck, in 2004 I voted for myself for president.

My point was simply people blow things out of proportion when it comes to the president(any).

Its real, that's for sure. That pic its all over the press around the world, a photoshopped pic isnt that fast. Its not just the question thats making such a big deal.. its the expression of Condolezza Rice's face reading it too.

Some people here are right... it is not a big deal that the bush needs to take a leak... the deal is that he needs to ask permission.

If the dude needs permission to piss... Who is he asking permission from on the big issues...

Nigel, where do you get the idea that Shrub wrote most of (or any of) ANYTHING that's going to end up in his Presidential Library (which they are threatening to put here in Dallas, ugh!)?

Okay, Giorgio - being all over the news doesn't mean it's not photoshopped. Additionally, Condolezza Rice isn't in any of the pictures that I've seen.

Also, as has been pointed out quite often before, it looks like Bush is responding to someone else's note, and it's not posed as a request, it's a statement.

Tom, I wasnt suggesting you were a Bush supporter, I don't throw around insults like that LOL

and yes, I agree with you, things get blown out of proportion...it was still funny though smile

Actually, I think that entire note is written by GW. The words "think" and "this" certainly look like the same handwriting. Lots of people mix cursive and printing, and it's apparent that our president does also. (The word "possible" is entirely printed, for example.)

I think this is hilarious. For numerous reasons, most of which are already mentioned here. And if the man didn't want to be made fun of on occasion, then he shouldn't have become a politician.

Why would he be writing on the bottom of someone else's note asking to go to the bathroom?

Tom wrote: "people are obsessed with finding anything remotely flawed with the president to attack him with nowadays."

Well, Tom, if you'd been paying attention all this time, you'd know it isn't hard to find W's flaws.

Has anyone else noticed that the President ended a direct statement with a question mark? Or is it really a question? I think he's coming up with an excuse for the reason he didn't do something else, and wants to see if the excuse meets with Condi's approval.

As in, "How about if I say, 'I need to go to the bathroom?' Yeah, maybe that will fool them."

Poor Mr. Bush, lol I feel so bad for him, he's got Green Day whining about him left and right, people getting close-up pictures of him writing on a piece of paper without him noticing it... tsk tsk tsk, if he's president he was obviously good enough to get elected crima nittley

of course it's two different people writing the note.. Look at the capital I's... And it's not even someone asking for permission. It seems to me like they were checking when a good time would be to head out... is it really that big of a deal?

what a f'ing moron.

I'm looking at the capital I's, and they look no different than how I write my I's. Oh are we to assume two people wrote it because not one I is an exact clone of the other???? When did all these morons become experts in this field of matching handwriting?

One more thing, the picture is real, and it was him asking Condi...

Why??????

Because he hasn't really attended a UN meeting that lasted that long, and so he wanted to ask someone with experience, if it was possible to go take a piss without offending 130 countries taking part in a meeting...

He can't just get up and go piss because he feels like it or because he's the Prez. He has to ask, because he is before the international community, and doesn't want to make an ass out of himself anymore than he does already.

I mean imagine, if he just got up and left to go piss during the middle of a speech given by say China or something... Can you imagine how they'd feel later on?? They'd probably wanna kick our butt or something.

USE YOUR DAMN HEADS, HE ASKED BECAUSE HE NEEDED TO KNOW IF HE COULD GET UP IN THE MIDDLE OF A MEETING, OR IF HE HAS TO RAISE HIS HAND...

Besides, why are you geeks about to have orgasms over this note in which he's just trying to make sure he doesn't offend the other UN members in attendance?? C'mon, out of all his bullshit, you guys are going to act like he's Condi's bitch??? Seriously, we all know Rove is the man, so give it up.

Remember, he asked, because he didn't want to offend other people by just getting up and leaving as if he were fed up with the meeting..

Next time you bush haters that jumped on the bandwagon try to find something to scrutinize, why not ask what goes on @ Bohemian Grove or something..
Posted by Bob  on  Sun Sep 18, 2005  at  05:58 AM
Well, I am a Bushhater, if you want to call it that. But as I said before, it could offend a country if he just went out. The irresponsible (and bushlike) thing to do would be to just stand and walk out, offending a more or less friendly country and costing millions of dollars if not lives.

The I's standing alone are different from the I in 'is' but is that unusual?
Posted by Mikkel  on  Mon Sep 19, 2005  at  01:15 AM
If G.W. has any reluctance to offend other countries, he sure as **** hasn't demonstrated it up to now.
Posted by Big Gary in Dallas  in  Dallas, Texas  on  Mon Sep 19, 2005  at  10:11 AM
haha!! why was he asking though? maybe it is code, why wlse would you "think" you "may" need a bathroom break?
Posted by valaree  on  Mon Sep 19, 2005  at  12:41 PM
It's hoax. The writing is bold and dark. That No. 2 pencil makes thin gray lines. Put in the Museum.
