About the Museum
The Museum of Hoaxes is dedicated to promoting knowledge about hoaxes. (Click here for opening hours, etc.) On our blog we post about dubious- sounding claims, and whatever else strikes our fancy. The site is also home to the Hoaxipedia (the museum's online encyclopedia of hoaxes), the Hoax Forum, and the Top 100 April Fools' Day Hoaxes.
The museum was created in 1997 by Alex Boese. He's assisted by a staff of deputy curators and docents. Alex is the author of three books, most recently Elephants on Acid: And Other Bizarre Experiments (which has nothing to do with hoaxes). He buried her in the ground when she was still alive. The murdered chanted, "Toma sota balcu" as he buried her. Now that you have read the chant, you will meet this little girl. It obviously seems to be inspired by the movie The Ring. Other than that I don't know much about this (such as who started it, etc.), though I do know that I'm now safe.

Now the "Toma sota balcu" thing is in Myspace.com and making it's way pretty well around. I'm not perpetuating it, just wondering about it though. I hat ethese things personally... but I would just like to commend everyone here, whose posts I've read, on having such a great sense of humor. I rather enjoyed myself, thank you all.

In one, the chant reads "tomo sama te blistat," a little more Latin sounding. Like the game of telephone, the message is altered as it is passed around. For the record, this is all nonsense anyway. The real chant was "Culbo mantakie lokohanan." Someone should put that in the next posting of the chain letter.
