Coke vs. Pepsi
According to the Independent, researchers have proven that the difference between Coke and Pepsi really is all in your head. Apparently the popularity of Coke's brand image causes people to think Coca-Cola itself tastes better, even though it really doesn't taste very different from Pepsi. As the article says: "When asked to taste blind, they showed no preference. However, when the participants were shown company logos before they drank, the Coke label, the more famous of the two, had a dramatic impact: three-quarters of the tasters declared they preferred Coke." I've long suspected this. Personally I can't taste any difference between Coke and Pepsi, but I have a friend who swears passionately that there's a huge difference. Now I can show him this research to prove that he's simply been brainwashed by advertising. Oh, and the Pepsi Taste Test also turns out to be nothing but hot air: "The findings suggest there is no scientific basis for claims made during the Pepsi ad campaign in which testers purportedly chose Pepsi over Coke when they were not told what they were drinking."Posted By: Alex | Date: Mon Oct 18, 2004 | Permalink |

The difference is obvious. Pepsi is more mellow and is less fizzy. Coke is much stronger in terms of carbonation. Pepsi maintains a constant carbonation for a while. Coke loses fizz quicker. Pepsi causes me hiccups and causes me to barf. Coke doesn't.

I think coke tastes way better than pepsi because it just does. Pepsi stinks and coke rules thats why it's better way better than pepsi.

every thing on this website dows not convince me that I like it.

Pepsi sucks because it has way to many fizzy's when you drink it and becasue my little brother died because he drank the pepsi with some pepto bismo or however you spell it so thats exactly ywhy pepsi sucks and coke rules and this is not a a lie it is a true story and your pepsi co junk suck like cow and horse crap. you heard me taste slike crap. Go COKE GO COKE YOU RULE PEPSI SUCKS.

I did a statistics research project in school. As this was a very low key study (just a few hundred participants), we found that (with no taste test), that people chose coke products over pepsi products.
We did the chi-square test to see relevance between survey questions and brand preferance, and found that taste had nothing to do with people's decisions; the only correlation out of our 10 question survey was what people were brought up drinking.

Pepsi tastes like pure high fructose corn syrup. and i happened to take a taste test of the 2 and knew exactly what was difference. pepsi blows. bye.

coke is by far the worst fizzy drink in the world. after one can you feel bloated and fat. but i suppose the more you drink it the less your body responds to it. the bloating and burping and farting is your body telling you "this stuff may aswell be carbonated acid with a few flavorings." if it was down to taste alone then its very hard to tell them apart. i personally can tell the taste but i even admit that at the end of 3 or 4 drinks of coke and pepsi they are hard to tell apart but so are r.whites lemonade and schwepps lemonade...infact so are heinz beans and bransons beans...its called competition and not taste. basically coke leads in advertisement because they use underage, underpaid workers in columbia to cut and stack their sugar-cane. not to mention they are drinking clumbian towns dry due to them contaminating columbias water supply to clean their bottles...strange how they refused to let anyone run tests on their water supplys. it takes 2 and a half liters of water to make one liter of coca-cola.but at the end of the day i'd just buy some water or something that is actually good for you. if you're calling me a health freak right now, just wait till your older.

I personally love pepsi. I've liked it ever since I've been able to drink soda. It leaves a great smooth feeling in my mouth.

i have always loved coke and i will never ever like pepsi. coke often wins in taste tests because it is sweeter but coke has more flavor.
but i actually blindfolded myself and put a bottle of coke on the table and a bottle of pepsi there too. i got somebody to move the two around on the table and i could clearly tell them apart.
