Nice, Carmen! smile

Recently I finished that baby blanket, and now I’m avoiding finishing a little Cthulhu because his head is a pain in the butt, and also trying to figure out what I want to make with a bamboo blend yarn that I bought.  I’m not really keen on a scarf or hat, so I’m almost thinking a pair of socks.  Not many crocheted sock patterns (that I like) though.

Okay, time to hit the sack.  I have a ton of stuff to do tomorrow, for some reason.

G’night, all. *hugs*

*sigh*

I bought myself a hoodie last week, and I’ve only just worn it today.  And I’ve just realised that I keep nuzzling into the hood where it’s lying on my shoulder because of the fleeciness… red face

This is just one of my morning “awake shifts”. shut eye  Here in an hour or so, I will tire out and go back to sleep for another 2 hours or so….. downer

Oh well.  At least my down hours are starting to add up to nearly eight hours a night lately. grin

The more tired you are the more you’ll eat too.  Especially carbs because your body is hunting for fuel to keep your brain working which feeds on glucose (sugar).

Here, I just googled this to ‘splain’ the whole machine:  http://www.fi.edu/learn/brain/carbs.html

Glucose is the form of sugar that travels in your bloodstream to fuel the mitochondrial furnaces responsible for your brain power. Glucose is the only fuel normally used by brain cells. Because neurons cannot store glucose, they depend on the bloodstream to deliver a constant supply of this precious fuel.

This blood sugar is obtained from carbohydrates: the starches and sugars you eat in the form of grains and legumes, fruits and vegetables. (The only animal foods containing a significant amount of carbohydrates are dairy products.)

Too much sugar or refined carbohydrates at one time, however, can actually deprive your brain of glucose – depleting its energy supply and compromising your brain’s power to concentrate, remember, and learn. Mental activity requires a lot of energy.
