So many people do stupid things like that, Huli.  Even many people who professionally work with guns will blast away carelessly at times.

I’m sitting here laughing and was going to say ‘yes, it’s called testosterone,’ then thought, ‘no, neither of these two guys have a lot of that going on about now’, then changed my mind again and reconsidered….‘yes they do….it’s a guy thing!’

Actually, the occasion I was thinking of when I wrote that was of a woman I saw who was demonstrating a light machinegun to a whole assembly of high-ranking people, and who got a little careless after being silly enough to load it with a full belt of ammo.  It was rather fun to watch all the generals and government officials scatter in terror, though, bailing out of the bleachers and running for cover; everybody ought to see a panicked portly MP run an impromptu steeplechase at least once in their lives.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!  Okay, now THAT IS hilarious!

.... and Laura Bush barely got a wrist slap for what we call “vehicular homocide” today.

The thing that really annoys me about this hunting accident is that it was withheld for 18 hours.  The woman who owns the property they were hunting on called a newspaper but the story was held for that duration (for whatever reasons I don’t know)  There were medical aids there with the hunting party when it occurred so the 70 year old friend was treated within moments.  Apparently Cheney’s buckshot got the gentleman in the face and chest. 

What I find a hard time understanding is that with quail hunting you walk together in a line….this man obviously turned or the pellets would not have caught him that way.  You also have to be fair close to receive that kind of spray from these kinds of guns. 

Cheney had a license, but not the addendum for hunting quail (a cost of $7).

Eh?  I’m assuming that you’re not meaning that question seriously.

no, not seriously. but it is still funny…

It’s incredibly easy to shoot someone if you’re not being careful.  That’s why they have safety measure in place to help prevent this sort of accident, but they weren’t followed.
