Ok, so I’m busy tonight.

I just saw this short film:

http://patrykrebisz.com/stills/FINAL_movie.html

Allegedly, it was made with nothing but still cameras. I don’t see how that would be possible. Some of the “animation” is just too smooth to be doing some sort of stop action animation with a still camera. I believe that it was shot with a digital video camera and then edited to be choppy and a little disoriented at times.

This is a really cool film. Very artistic and an interesting story. I just don’t think it was done the way it was billed.

The thing to do would probably be to go to www.apple.com and upgrade your version of QuickTime to the most recent version. What kind of computer and OS are you running?

Well, my digital still camera will take videos, but I think this was actually as stated - single shots.  Most digital cameras have the capability of taking multiple shots in rapid succession for capturing action shots.  The quality is lower than a single shot, but still well within what you see here.  In other words, I believe this is true.

That was weird and disorienting.  But then, I did skip through some of it so it wouldn’t take as long.

Yeah, I think it was shot using ‘movie mode’ on a digital camera. Actually, I have that same model of the Canon digital camera that’s shown in the film.

That particular model camera can shoot five frames per second until its memory card is full.

The movie is possible, but pointless. Why boast it was taken with a “still” camera when in all actuality it was really shot with a slow video camera.

At what point do you draw the line?

Are you sure it’s a Canon?  It looks very similar to my Casio Exilim.

On the web page it says under the film in little bitty print:

“Shot with Canon EOS 20D”.
