There was an article here not too long ago about peope who smile in mug shots.  Most of them said its just habit to smile when someone is taking the picture…others said they were just making the best out of a bad situation and a “nice” photo helped with that feeling.

And is there any cause why these two should not be married?

I’ve almost left on a bill because the server wouldn’t come over.  We sat 45 minutes once after we were done eating, waiting.  We didn’t mind a whole lot because we had a free babysitter.  grin

I smiled for my mugshot.

I found myself trying to stifle a smile as I was being booked on my PPO violation - I was very unhappy at the time, but was a force of habit when told to “look forward at the camera”.

Only 45 minutes?  At my best friend’s bachlorette party, it took our server that long to get the bill (he stopped by often enough, just kept ‘forgetting’ that we wanted to leave) then another 45 to try and ring it up.  We complained to the manager at least three times before he took over from our incompetent moron of a waiter and refunded us the whole meal.  It ruined our night, but we only threatened to leave.
