Does anyone remember this from a couple of months ago?

Was Alex’s request for ideas for another contest the hoax? Or was the contest where a lucky (or brilliant) contestant wins a free book the hoax? Actually, I think Alex has been to busy with his new book and vacation to do this. It was just in the back of my mind here while I was browsing around a bit, so I thought I’d bring it to the foreground.

Oh my god. That contest completely slipped my mind. Well, I still have the book sitting around. On Monday August 22 I’ll announce what the contest is going to be. Better late than never.

I did forget. But also I’ve been having real trouble thinking up a contest. I think I’m going to go back to the haiku thing, but focus it a bit more. In fact, I’m going to get my act together and announce the contest because I actually have a new book to give away sent by a publisher. But I need to give away the other book first.

The most evil of geniuses (genii???) NEVER seem evil at all. In this respect, Alex seems like he could be terribly evil indeed.
