I am concluding that we’ll never be rid of mice entirely, but with the five live traps we ordered at specific areas where I could visually see mice activity, I have taken easily 30 mice out to the wild brush area well away from our house.  One morning I saw what appeard to be a malformed critter but it turned out to be two ‘toddler’ mice sitting side by side and both tails were sticking out of the trap edge.

Yesterday afternoon I opened the cat gate to the kitchen and felt it scrape-drag and when I looked down I saw a young rat snake on the floor.  He slithered behind a bookcase and I had to pull the whole, fully loaded thing out to get him.  I put him into a large specimen aqauariam so Erik could see him before I released him/her too.  I’m trying to determine why he was in the house unless he’d been eating pinkys and his supply has been curtailed…..........or, and this does concern me, there is a nest of them in here and that concerns me because of Lookachoo and FuzzyButt…........

Maybe He’s been watching you for the last few weeks, and decided to cut out the middle man and come and get his meals direct! LOL

And while I doubt that the typical rat snake would bother your cat or your parrot, whether or not your cat or parrot would bother the snakes is a different matter altogether. . .

wow..
My parrot is often referred to as dog…
You know why?
He eats chicken,He walks around the house often “barks” and once ate dog food…
He is so cute that once he stole chicken from one of the HUGE himalyan cat we borrowed to mate with our other himalayan…
in short the cats fear him and hes adorably cute and fuzzy…
