I know I would be.  In high school, there was a group of people who passed out black armbands and sent around a petition every Columbus Day trying to get (the school at least) to stop celebrating it.

I don’t mind them celebrating it, but I think they should also give equal attention to Leif Ericson Day, Giovanni Caboto Day, Henry Hudson Day, Unknown Stoneage Asian Guy Day, and so on.

Depends on what you consider to be a disinfectant.  After all, if it will kill or drive away living organisms. . .

Ah.  I gathered that he was a B- or C-lister, by perusing the ‘film credits’ section and realising that I’ve never seen any of his movies and all of his TV appearances are for ‘Behind the Music’-type tripe.  I didn’t know about the comeback attempt, however.
