Well, it’s not a shock that the recent gas prices have attracted the attention of fuel efficient cars. But…. why are companies still advertising Fossil fuels cars, capitalizing on the existing main use of fuel. Every car company is claiming high KM/Miles per gallon in their advertising now. Why am I not seeing companies advertising hybrids or electric cars.
I am thinking this energy efficient and clean(er) fuels are more readily for commercial and cheap use. I am thinking to believe that car companies would loose billions if they went the way of better means of fuel. So in order to save them a ton of money, they are milking the use of fossil fuels for as long as possible.
While the sales of RVs and Hummers are down, that still doesn’t stop companies from promoting their fuel efficient Sedans.
We have the resources to apply the new means of fuels, but because companies already have existing cars on the road, they wish not to promote or induct better forms of fuel.
I smell greed on a large scale.
I think the increased cost of gas prices is not because of a supposed gas/refining of the fossil fuel. It is because car companies wish to milk the market as soon as they can.
Secret collaborations have been known to happen in the past. It is also possible that the car companies are hoarding a supply.
[Off topic, I’d also like to bring up that this whole oil thing is silly. No one is foreseeing the future. Just think about how many other products are made from crude oil. When the fossil fuel supply runs out…. there will be many product not readily or easily available. But no one thinks about that.]
