Unnecessary censorship

It shows why censoring doesn’t really work. After all those years of conditioning your mind to fill in the bleeped out dirty words, it becomes an automatism.

It hasn’t.  Well, maybe slightly.  But he’s been voiced by the same person since he first appeared in 1972.

If you click his name in the link I gave above the Wikipedia article goes into his history.  And, yes, he was based off Bela Lugosi (sp?).

In the clip the first Count appearance (counting sheep) sounds right.  The second appearance sounds a little off.  At least from what I’m currently used to.

I’m sure if you went to YouTube you could find lots of videos of him and hear what he sounded like over the years.

There is no “canadian” version of Sesame Street or it’s spin-offs. They are the same for Canada (with the same actors) as they are for the U.S.
