Wow, people are really morons.

School locked down after ‘ninja’ sighted in woods

June 25, 2008

BARNEGAT, N.J.—It’s the case of the nonexistent ninja. Public schools in Barnegat were locked down briefly after someone reported seeing a ninja running through the woods behind an elementary school.

Turns out the ninja was actually a camp counselor dressed in black karate garb and carrying a plastic sword.

Police tell the Asbury Park Press the man was late to a costume-themed day at a nearby middle school.

The lockdown began shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday and lasted until 9:30.

Wow.

These people obviously have no clue.  A real ninja would only be seen if he wanted to be seen.  And “locking down” a school would not safeguard the school in any significant way from a ninja if he was trying to get in.  (At least not unless you had another ninja doing the lock down.)

I can see someone pushing to outlaw ninja costumes because they might create panic and could threaten the security of the populace.

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn’t move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn’t move and does, use the duct tape.
If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

I admit it…. my Ninja Turtles are on the loose…

They escaped after hearing they made a horrible 3d movie about them. They where not too happy. So they decided to run around dressed in black, all around the world.

Splinter is not pleased….

I mean….

What kinda gas leak do they have at this school?!

Yesh….

=D

I was going to agree with the “people are morons” observations, but then it occurred to me:  what exactly is a school “lock down”?  Does it just mean they lock the doors to the outside?  If so, I’m pretty sure public schools around here are on lock down all the time.  At the high schools, I’m pretty sure you have to go through a metal detector to get in.

Generally a lockdown not only means the exterior doors, but the interior ones as well, with everyone is kept in whatever classrooms they’re in until they can figure out if it’s safe or not. Prevents hallway massacres.

And as for a ninja, let’s face it, someone in black ‘commando gear’ or even ‘wearing a black ski mask’ would get most schools freaking out six ways to sunday.
