Ok. According to Dougles Adams’ book, The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy, the meaning of life, the universe and everything is 42. Care to confirm or deny it?
Personally, I agree. But not just because I liked the books. In ancient Egyptian mythology, there was a story (and technically, there still is) about a certain book, known as the book of Thoth. It was/is known as being the book that contained the knowledge of everything (the gods, language, secrets, etc.). The book consisted of 42 pages.
Actually, to be precise, 42 is supposedly the answer to the meaning of life, the universe and everything. However, if you read a bit more of Hitchhikers, you’ll discover that they were actually asking the wrong question.
During the second book, it was said by means of a scrabble board, that the question was “what do you get if you multiply six by nine”, even though that is not true. But wikipedia has some interesting theories about that. Then it was said that you cannot have The Answer and The Question together in the same universe, or the universe would be replaced by something even more bizare and inexplicable. Then again there are some that claim that this has already happened.
Yes, but he debunked that. You will see in the wikipedias extensive pages on HGTTG that there are theories that it was because the Earth was a flawed program.
