OMG!!! how much more competitive will she get?!?!?! She just called me to ask an all important question. She asked, I kid you not, if the people on my Wii sports game had feet. Apparently, hers do. Why does it matter????? IT IS A STUPID GAME!!!!! I dont even pay attention to those kinds of things. Why would she remember if there were feet on my Wii characters??? OMG!! I am just dumbfounded by this.

But yes, sounds like there’s issues there. My advice would be to cultivate a total lack of interest whenever she boasts about something - “Oh really? Hmm.. that’s interesting..”. If she realizes that you don’t *care* about her latest attempt at one-upmanship, she may stop. It sounds like she may just be seeking validation and encouragement, which tells me that she’s lacking it in her life. Makes one wonder about that relationship with her husband, too…
