Okay, the thing is corrected with the input from all the different forums, interesting not one single person captured all the mistakes, which indicates clearly that everyone is slipping in their grammer to some varying degree, the average person caught about 30% of the mistakes, and it required other forums to even correct some of the errors.

Here is the updated variant which I am sure that people can find more mistakes right down to semantics.  Some websites found no errors at all even though it was read by up to 40 people (what does that tell you?)

Some people loved the sign and there is the suggestion to make three variants based upon knowledge level of the various manipulations going on in our society. Namely these three categories could be considered as mild, suspicious, and paranoid.

*raises hand*

First paragraph - unnecessary hyphen, plus misspelling of ‘desirable’.
Second paragraph - you need ‘misled’ instead of ‘mislead’, and there’s the same misspelling.
Third paragraph - ‘else’s’ has an apostrophe, and you (most likely) mean ‘affect’ rather than ‘effect’.

Last line - there appears to be no space between ‘to’ and ‘thank’.

Good luck spreading your message. smile

Thanks for all the corrections to the sign - I never stated I myself was a genius of grammer or pronounciation, the point was to trigger critical thinking. In fact I am probably quite farther ahead of the public because I KNOW that I am stupid, and ignorant and apathetic in some areas, and working to correct it.  How about yourselves? Masters of spelling and grammer but having any concrete method to help people wake up from societal programming?

For the second time today, I feel the need to correct the word “grammer”, which is written “grammar”.
OK, so I’m a spelling nazi. So sue me!  cheese

The “because” in the first sentence is redundant, Also, it’s “profitable to others” and “manipulatable by others”, so the construction of your second sentence is inconsistent.

Okay, all that stuff has been corrected.  I had *no idea* how poorly I mangle the english language.

Anyways I have another 100 ideas for similar signs, things like Vote For Your Favourite CFR Sock Puppet, and Raise your Kids on a Playstation, stuff like that.

Hey, at least you’re trying and willing to fix the errors. smile

Second paragraph (I’m surprised I didn’t catch it earlier becuase I knew there was something wrong with the sentence when I read it) remove either the “either” or the parenthesis.  The parenthesis make it an aside comment that isn’t necessary for the sentence.  So take that out and your sentence reads, “...that are either profitable for others.“

So you want it to read, “...that are profitable (or harmless) for others,“ or, “...that are either profitable or harmless for others.“

I’m too braindead at the moment to care about the rest of it.  You’ll get it eventually! wink
