Well, I’m going to head home—it’s time to cook some dinner and see my husband. I have to work some this weekend (dang old deadline), so I might drop in this weekend, depending how it goes. Have a lovely weekend, all.
Ok, so here’s a conundrum.
Spock is the tiniest rat I’ve ever owned. She weighs 250g, and she’s barely bigger than Hastings was at six weeks, and Spock’s about 4-5 months.
Tig is about 75g heavier than her, and decidedly bigger.
However, Spock is the worst bully. She spends most of her time throwing Tig upside down and beating her up. I don’t know what to do about it. We’ve tried the usual turning her upside down and telling her off sternly, but it only stops her for a few minutes.
Tig, remarkably, takes the bullying.
My daughter tries to pet our cats by laying on them and squeezing them until their eyes pop out, and saying, “I love you pretty boy!“ It is no wonder that they are very skittish.
I’m just getting an image of a tiny rate using matrix-style martial arts against a massive rat and then a giant hand coming and turning the little one upside down

Yeah, that’s not too far off, as long as you also imagine the squeaking.
