Okay, this is for the females here though I’m quite sure the males will put in their position too.

I noted recently that the new bras I purchased about 8 months ago weren’t fitting right.  They were nearly the same measurement around except that this measurement seemed smaller (or the bands were bigger or stretched) so I went this weekend to get new ones (I know this sounds familiar surely).

This time I picked up a variety of sizes from 34 to 36 and then alternated B and C cups.  The bands fit, but they STILL didn’t fit right over all.  I was able to ascertain that I was between 34 and 35 for the band but then decided to try going up another cup size to see if that made a difference in comfort.  Appalled I discovered I fit all the 36D since I couldn’t find any 34D bras.  If the bands stretch I’m pretty sure I can take them in........I am mortified.

This seems odd to me and I had a TERRIBLE nightmare that I was blooming into Dolly Pardon.  I’ve tried searching the web to see what can be causing this cupsize growth???  No I am NOT pregnant and the rest me is still the same???

I reckon it’s the manufacturers...they want to make all those small-busted women out there feel as though they’ve got big boobs by labelling the cup sizes smaller than they are.

I don’t know Smerik, I got four bras, each by a different manufacturer, and all are D cups and all fit.  I’d gotten the earlier ones, the C cups from an expensive department store and all those are C cups and I’m overflowing those except the straps were too long and the bands too big around.  So I’m pretty sure I’m blooming and so had been wearing baggy t-shirts (then those make me look like I’m wearing a barrel HAHAHAHA!

I’m just trying to find out what is making this happen NOW.  The ONLY thing different that I’ve been consuming is 2400 mg fish oil a day and 2000 mg flaxseed oil.

Magnoire La Chouette you’re making me laugh!  I thought about a sports bra too.  I guess what I’m getting concerned about is having to alter what I do have.  I’m just not very large body-wise so the straps even at their shortest, are not short enough.  I’m concerned again about the band size being too large and then those would have to be altered.  But having these sticking out so far makes anything that’s loose look like you’re wearing a barrel.

I always sort of maintained a B cup (except when I was nursing).  These are scaring me HAHAHAHAHA!!!

I did look online after my other post, to see if the fish and flaxseed oils (I’ve been taking these for about 6 months) might be impacting and it DOES appear that these are also routinely used to increase breast-cup size in those breast enhancement formulas.  I have to take them though so hopefully everything will soon settle into a static status?

It’s possible things are just “shifting” around.  Or you were bloated when you were shopping & didn’t realize it.  Have lost or gained weight that you weren’t aware of...or like Smerk mentioned, the manufacturers are vanity sizing.

Any time I buy a new bra, I get re-measured.  Go to a department or specialty store...they usually have someone on site to help measure.  You don’t have to buy their bras...just get measured & try a few things on to see if they’ve got it right.

Maegan, believe me, I’m not bloated nor am I retaining water.  I have in fact lost weight but gained a cup size.  This started about the time I started on such mega doses of fish and flax seed oil.  I’m not on any kind of medication, prescription or otherwise, just these.  The first time I went my cup size had increased from a B to a C and that was about 6 months ago.  This time it’s another full cup.

there is no gain anywhere else on my body but there is weight loss.  The band size underneath has remained the same, correction has gotten slightly smaller.  The bras purchased both of these times are upscale, (high quality brand names).

NOTE: [Erik is NOT unhappy]

I am not aware of any—and I do mean any—evidence that fish or flax seed oil (or pretty much anything else you can take orally, except maybe hormones, and I am hedging on them since I know that’s what transgenders take to grow breasts) can affect breast size. I thought it has been shown pretty conclusively that those breast enhancement formulas are a scam. So I doubt if that’s it, Huli. But no matter what anybody tells you, bra sizes are not now and never have been exact, and they can change from brand to brand and even style to style. I have two that are the same size, same brand, same style, and (presumably) same fabric, but different colors, and one fits perfectly while the other does not. This stuff just happens.

One time, I lost a fair amount of weight but went up a cup size. This isn’t really that usual—your cup size is the difference between your upper bust (the part under your arms) and the fullest part of the bustline, so weight has little to do with it. Where you carry that weight is, though.

Well, if you have lost weight in your body, but not your breasts, that does slightly explain it.  If you are 34 around, +6 inches around your breasts, that makes a D, I think.  BUT, if you were 36 around before, and your breasts did not change size, then there would just have been a 4 inch difference.

...Oh, well, I guess Kathleen just said that.

I agree with both of you about bras being different.  Since all of these new ones are D cups and fit and all four are different manufacturers, and because I now have an entire and extensive bra wardrobe ranging from 32A to 36D now of various brands etc. I can tell you with certainty that the A cups look like pasties, the B cups do sort cover the front, the Cs give spillage and the Ds fit.

I guess I jumped on the supplements because that is the ONLY thing that has been different.  While Erik may be perfectly happy, I’m a bit scared.  This just does NOT sound right to me, and yes, it is very easy to see this difference.

No, I’m not on hormones either.

Well, when I lost that weight, you could see the difference, too. As Maegan said, if you lost weight in your body but not your breasts, that might account for it. In any case, I don’t think there’s anything to be scared about. I can’t think of any disease condition that would cause both your breasts to increase in size.
