If you want to go see The Ruins because you like horror movies, let me suggest that you don’t if you at all don’t care for gruesome, disgusting gore.

I am a huge horror movie fan and there were two times in the movie when I had to look away from the screen, it was so gross.

Gross!

LOL

I like horror movies, but I’m becoming tired of all the gore porn lately myself.

Warning duly noted smile

Thing is, it’s not even really that. Like in the Saw movies or Hostel.

It’s just, randomly, there’s some really well done, really graphic, disgusting stuff.

I read the book and liked it. But I’ll probably wait to see it on dvd.

Not to be confused with The Runs, which is messy for an entirely different reason, and equally unwatchable.

Neo, Old Bean, don’t make me prove you wrong…

Mod note: This is unsuitable for work, obviously.

Bobcat note: It’s actually fairly tame, being Wikipedia, after all. But yes, don’t go a-googling with safe-search off.

I read the book and liked it. But I’ll probably wait to see it on dvd.

There were some ideas (which I guess came from the book) in it which were truly scary and I’ve even thought about it several times since seeing the movie.

That was just ruined by the unnecessary gross parts.

However, I think it would be much better on DVD and not on a masive screen that takes up all your eyeballs.
