I watched part of the beginning… (They seemed to remake the first one’s ending a bit different in that in the sequel, the girl actually escaped, but then is ?smart? enough to take a different “scientific” team down to evaluate what happened.) Typical gorefest follows…. (I didn’t keep watching….)

Interesting preview…..

It almost looks worth watching!! (Actually, it is nice to see some kids type films hitting the theatres. A few weeks ago i wanted to take the baby Dragon (12) and her Wyvern cousin (9) to the theatre, but there was NOTHING they could watch. Sad.)

Just got back from Tron: Legacy.

Enjoyed it. It was a decent movie, especially for a sci-fi one. I did see it in 3D and I will say the following about that added dimension:

Tron 3D = Avatar 3D. The 3D is pointless and not worth the extra cost. It adds nothing and is undoubtedly just as good a movie without being in 3D.

(Avatar is the only other movie I’ve seen in 3D since that particular movie started this most recent 3D craze.)

I was considering going to see that this weekend, if I could catch one of the earlier showings that are half-price. But they’re apparently showing it only in 3D, with no discounts and with the extra $4.00 or whatever tacked on for the 3D-isness of it all. And since I’m not really all that fired up about watching it, I think I’ll wait until it comes out on DVD.

I dunno.. I’d see it in theaters unless you have a seriously huge home-theater TV. Lots of action sequences.

I rather liked Daft Punk’s cameo. Perfectly done.

I liked Avatar in 3D, thought it was well worth the extra expense
I have to agree with Tron though, the 3D felt superfluous.
