I was going to make this thread specific to this one movie, but I figured the conversation will probably evolve. And there are some much-anticipated movies, some must-see movies and some just darn fun-looking movies coming out this summer. But they don’t all need their own thread, so discuss any of the summer movies here.
First up is trailer two for Hellboy 2: the Golden Army. (Trailer one has been out for a while and is a teaser. Trailer two kicks it up a few notches and makes it look even better.)
I enjoyed Hellboy so much. It was a really fun movie. And, having never read the comics/graphic novels, there wasn’t any potential disappointment from preconceived notions for me. And this movie looks like it will be just as good and as much fun. If not more so.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I don’t think there’s a single movie set to come out that I really want to see. Some might be very good and I would enjoy them, but there is nothing I’m getting excited over.
I’m definitely very interested in Valkyrie, even though that terrifying Tom Cruise man is in it… a relative of mine was involved in the plot to assassinate Hitler, so it’s been a story I heard a lot growing up.
Also, Wall-E seems like it’s going to be really good. Those Pixar people do good work.
I really haven’t paid any attention to what movies are coming out this Summer. I know that there’s a new Indiana Jones movie coming out sometime that I intend to watch, but I’m not sure when that is. And I liked the original Hellboy movie, so now that I know there’s a sequel I’m hopeful about it. Iron Man is apparently based on a comic, from what I can tell, and I have no clue as to what the comic is like. So it might be entertaining, or maybe not. I dunno.
