Hey, everybody.

What’s wrong with getting married in April? We got married in mid-July when it was, no kidding, 98 degrees F and 96 percent humidity. I can still hear my dad (a Californian born and bred and NOT an admirer of Midwestern weather) saying, “The church has air conditioning, right? It DOESN’T? Why would you get married in a church without air conditioning?“

Of such things are memories made…

She said one week, being April 1st, I was attempting to make a pun of sorts.  Yes it flopped.
June 12 for me, there was a light rain falling early in the day.  It was actually a pleasant weather day.

Oh, I see—I don’t think your joke flopped, I just think I was being dense.

April 28th for us.
It’ll be our seventh anniversary.

And hello, pumpkins.
*hugs*

I’m doing OK—and it’s a nice, quiet, in-between week here, so that’s a fine thing.

I’m still feeling a little sad, though—don’t know if you noticed this yesterday, but I found out that a kid (age 24, which I know isn’t really a kid) whose Sunday School teacher I used to be DIED last week of skin cancer. I didn’t know such a thing was even possible. Anyway, I’m still feeling a bit weepy if I let myself think about it too much.

How are you, practically-an-old-married lady?

Yes, I did read that.
I was sorry to hear it.
*hugs*

I’m ok. All scratched up from the rats, and not having the most fabulous time at work (I’m annoyed that we finish at 4 when it’s the holidays - it’s ok for the salaried workers, but that takes £35 a week off my pay).

But generally fine.

It’s amazing Matt has lasted seven years.  He must have mutant recuperative powers.
