You’ll have to excuse SCM, Renquist.. He’s fairly young, and doesn’t have the usual degree of wit we’re used to.
SCM, you’ll find that appending ‘it was a joke, relax’ often does just the opposite: It makes whatever was said even less funny than it was before, and the people involved do not, in fact, relax. It basically just makes you sound like a smartass.
Now, see, if you had actually turned it on its end, and said that Nostradamus was german and responsible for invading Poland and *then* said ‘Oh, wait, that’s Hitler’, *that* would have been funny. Mind, it would have helped to have put it in a bit more appropriate context and with a little build-up to the joke, but you get the idea.
