Creative in their names, these Dominicans.  Maybe they only fight once a month.

Which would be economical.

Might require a few calendar reforms, though, if they ever have to fight a thirteenth battle.

They would just tuck in a Leap Year on Feb 29.  Which, come to think of it, was probably what they did this time around.

Hey, kiddies. How is everybody today? Here it is chilly, wet and gloomy—time for spring, I say. Fortunately the calendar agrees with me, so let’s see if Mother Nature does.

According to the guys here at work it rained all night.  It is so funny their perspective on rain, they don’t know what rain is.  It sprinkled for like 5 minutes…OMG it’s gonna flood!!!

And good morning to the various entities and lifeforms.

We had places here in Indiana that got 4 inches of rain overnight. That’s what I call rain. We didn’t get that much, but I think we got about 2 inches.

Can I be an entity today? It would make a nice change from “lifeform.”

Sure whatever you want.  I think they get 4 inches of rain here a year, maybe.  The day before we moved up here in Missouri we got 5 inches of rain in a 24 hour period.  I told them about that here and they almost fell over.  I miss the rain so much, thunder and lightning.  I used to stand under the carport, rain pouring, the sky booming and crackling.  It just makes you feel so alive.

Oh, I know what you mean. My hometown in the Mojave Desert averages about 4 inches per year. Really. And actually, they’ve been in a drought there for several years, so I think they got less than an inch last year. It’s hard for even me to imagine.

Anyway, I like the rain, too. Not 4 inches at once, but I do like it.

When it “rains” here, I go and stand outside, I really don’t even get wet.
