I don’t know, but this sounds to me like a ‘message’ being sent, or a warning to specific people. I almost think the owners are still alive but their feet with shoes attached would be identifiable to a very specific group.
I think it’s far more likely they’re dead. As the guy says, limbs and feet do not usually float so it’s an anomalous occurrence that it shouldn’t be expected. Unless the perpetrator knew for sure that these feet would float it would be useless to throw them into the sea to send a message as it is far more likely they’d never turn up.
I’m not sure what you mean by their feet belonging to a specific ‘group’. You mean ethnicity? Because besides skin colour (which degrades after death) it’s hard to identify ethnicity from a bit of a corpse (though possible) and damn near everyone wears trainers.
No, not by color, like the mafia or a gang group. All the feet were from the right side and all had shoes still attached that sort of lends to someone being ‘deliberate’. I do understand that the message, in that case, would seem to be one that would be carried in a box or mailed etc., but perhaps not if the sender had a vague idea where the feet would wash up.

By cutting the bodies up. Possibly some kind of weird ritual (NOT uncommon. And the US has an awful lot of serial killers per capita. Not as much as Australia though if I remember correctly. They have more estimated operating serial killers in proportion to the population than anywhere else) of a seriously deranged killer. The Right Foot Ripper.

Not sure what you mean about being carried in a box or mailed. The feet, you mean? Sorry, just not sure where you’re getting mailing from. Never heard of a serial killer who mailed bits that big. People would notice.

Considering there were two torsos, three feet, and a couple other bits, all demonstrably from different people, we were a little rattled. Thankfully it turned out that a rather disturbed autopsy tech was literally taking his work home with him.. What was amazing was that he had actually moved out a couple years before, and the box containing the.. remains.. was dropped at the dumpster by some unknown person.

HAHAHAHA! I understand what you mean and I wrote very hastily since I needed to get off the computer. I meant that often such ‘messages’ are delivered by more unconventional methods, but as you pointed out, the method is also part of the mailer’s signature. So I would guess the delivery would not change. Obviously, if this was a serial killer, one would also imagine he/she would also keep a souvineur (perhaps the left feet).
If all these are washing up in a wide but still defined area, I would believe that all were done at the same time. The fact that it’s ONLY left feet, all still wearing their shoes, all shoes being nearly the same type, all washing up almost together (given fluctuations in water tides, flows etc.) then I also believe that something is more ‘afoot’ and something iawfully odd is happening.
I think that’s also why part of me holds the thought that since feet can be removed without killing the rest of the body, it’s also possible that something even more macabre is happening as well.
But then, I have an extremely active imagination. What I’m wondering now is whether or not any of these can or will be identified and whether or not, if they are, if they are in any way related to each other.

Most of the time if you find a limb, the owner is dead. Find a few of the SAME limb, with a shoe on, and the owner is certainly dead. The fact they still have trainers on precludes any form of medical intervention (like a pathologist taking arms home with him or medical students playing pranks). The fact they’re dismembered infers that they’ve been killed and chopped up.
The dismemberement similarities and method of disposal are a clear part of the killer’s MO.
There’s no doubt they’re connected. The chances of them being coincidental feets washing up in such a short space of time in this fashion are a few million to one.
Hiking shoes or Wolverines for this kid. I just cannot see the attraction in what passes for sneakers these days. So if you ever find a foot wash up with something like that on it, someone give me a call to make sure I’m still alive.
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Reuters) - Another severed human foot has been discovered washed ashore on Canada’s Pacific coast, but police are no closer to solving the gruesome mystery.
The foot, still wearing a shoe, was discovered on Thursday on a small uninhabited island south of Vancouver in the Strait of Georgia, and is the fourth discovered in the region in the past 10 months.
The previous cases all involved right feet still in sneakers, and each was found on a different island.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have not said if the latest discovery was a right or left foot.
DNA testing has failed to link the earlier discoveries to any missing person cases.
Maybe this will cause them to start a database of toeprints.
Don’t give them any ideas. I’ve already had my fingerprints taken and my irises scanned so I could get a security pass for my job. The last thing I need is ink on my toes.
