I am plugging a book for the brother of a friend. 
She has shared some of her brother’s letters with me during his time in Iraq & does other write-y type stuff on his own in his civillian time. I guess he decided to take all those letters he wrote for 2 years & put them together for a book. The letters I was able to read were very moving...and showed a side of the Iraq war that very few civillians are aware of.
I know he is self-publishing. Since he works in writing & publishing on a regular basis, I am assuming he chose self-publishing for a reason.
