Frankly, if I were the parent getting the fake letter…I would wonder about the teacher.  The language & syntax seem totally juvenile.  Umm…and how many American kids say “Grade 11”?  I thought that was a Canadian thing.  We say “11th grade”.

This is one of the things I’m not so thrilled with the Internet for.  Some completely unidentified person comes along and posts a scan of a letter.  Nobody knows who he is, if he really is a student, if what is in the letter is what really happened.  Based on that alone, a bunch of people immediately whip themselves up into a frenzy and start attacking the school.

Yes, the Internet is good for finding information and for communicating.  But people need to show some sense and self-control, too.
